Remarks
Should move a little more towards practical use of subjects. The curriculum and hence teachers are more oriented towards theoritical studies. All they care about is student getting marks and attending classes. They should give more freedom to students. They aspire to become like IITs but are not ready to give students the environment that IITs have.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is nice but little outdated. After taking all Labs and tests you have a very hectic day. If you need to do any extra work like research or anything like that you need to do it after the college gets up. There are certain faculties who may help you else you have to manage on your own.
Placement Experience
Being from CS background it is not very difficult for CS students to land a job. But the job that is provided by college is not very reliable or something that you can stuck onto. The max package goes up to 8 lpa. To get better package you need to stuggle yourself and make efforts. It is possible for you to land a job from Amazon and some other big companies as some of my mates have got such jobs. No college do not provide any internship. You need to make efforts to get one.
College Events
Form a long time ie 2016 no good technical or cultural fest has been organized in the college. Different societies conduct different events at different time as they get time permission form college. The only thing that was held in college was Aktu Zonals in year 2019. But college do not stop you to participate in fest of other colleges. Not even if they are far away. You may participate in Hackathons conducted in any college or state of India and expenses are taken by college( atleast half probably).
Fee Structure And Facilities
Comparing other colleges the fees structure is not that bad initially. But as you get into higher years the fees of other college decrease but its fees do not change much. It didnot changed much atleast in our case.
Fees and Financial Aid
AkTu scholarship scheme avails in our college. You may apply in it if you are SC/ST or if you falls in financial criteria. SC/ST get their whole fees reimbursed. But others get only 56600/- against the whole fees.
Campus Life
Sports and labs are well conducted. Saksham is conducted for sports they have many events like race, kho kho, basketball, etc. They have all events for girls and boys separately. Incase of societies and workshops no fixed ratio is followed. You get chancr if you are deserving you sexuality, race, background, stream do not matter.
Alumni/Alumna
College do not take much efforts in remaining connected to alumnis. Student maintain relationship with seniors they like or through the society in which they are. They come out to be very useful if you are ready to give it time and use it properly. They help you land projects, internship and even jobs.
Admission
I got admission through management kota. Firstly a test was conducted consisting of 30 questions of which you need to get atleast 12 right. After that a meeting with Proctor was conducted ( it was sort of HR round). After which I was told to wait for a callback in case of being selected. I chose computer science as a course because it has much scope.
Faculty
Faculties are qualified enough to teach the course they are given to teach. Sometime a faculty may arise your interest in subject but sometimes they fail to do that. Many a times they try to take extra questions from gate point of view. They may also ancourage you to get into something else apart form normal course.
