Remarks

Average - college is good because there are perks of being NITian and bad in the way that we don't have our own campus so we can't avail much facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Same course curriculum is followed in all NITs. More focus is given on the theory part and Mark's rather than industry driven knowledge while when companies turn up they look for people with fine communication skills and better industry knowledge rather than marks.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement is good. For electrical department TATA power, L&T turned up this year. There is a training and placement cell but it works only for placement and no special steps are taken for training.

College Events

3.5

2 fests each year one is sports fest other may be technical or cultural or combined. Budget is around 3-4 lacs. Few participants are there from other colleges. Around 300 people attend the fest. College students give their best to make the fest a huge success.

Fee Structure And Facilities

43000 rupees per semester is the course fees, all modes of payment are accepted, yes admission fees of 10000 rupees. Yes they provide transparency in the fee breakdown but funds are not allotted for those mentioned there. So no use of that transparency. It's a waste.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not eligible for scholarship and if I am then I have not applied for any scholarship. So I have no idea.

Campus Life

1.5

Gender ratio in my batch is (girl) 1:10 (boys). Students from diverse caste, creed, religion, country, economic status are eligible for admission in our college. Sports club is quite active, other clubs are not that active due to temporary campus and facilities.

Hostel Facilities

2

I have opted for hostel and I have 3 other roomies in my small room even in the 3rd year. Wifi problem is always there. Mobile networks also not proper. Hostel fees is 10k per semester excluding mess fees.

Alumni/Alumna

Any institution is with students and I must say our seniors were the best who left no stone unturned to make our college life the best. But for now Alumni network for the college is quite week. But yes seniors are helpful in every way.

Admission

Through JEE Mains on the basis of the marks we get out of 360. Delhi is the capital so obviously better exposure and better career opportunities in the future. And I thought NIT delhi will be a great choice. Engineering seems as the only decent option for Science students after 12th for a middle class family.

Faculty

3

Around 10 lecturers in my course. Average age is 40 and average qualification is M.Tech ( post-graduate). Some have good command on their subject and few are like us, unaware of what is there in the subject. Few of them do have some industry knowledge.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
