Remarks

It is an above-average college. The infrastructure isn't that good but the facilities are nice and helpful. The college overall is good. If a student is really hardworking he/she might end up having a job with a really good package.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

This college is affiliated with VTU i.e Visvesvaraya Technical University. The course curriculum is well defined. Although you need to by heart more rather than understand to score better marks. And if you are good at story-making, you will rock. It has 3 internal examinations per semester and 1 external examination. The external to internal ratio is 60:40.

Placement Experience

3

The placement of Sir M visvesvaraya institute of technology is quite decent, most of the mass recruiters come here. With a decent package. Companies like Sprinkler and Accenture give quite good packages. Although the Training and Placement Cell of the college is very very good, They prepare the student to a good level.

College Events

4

The main festival of the college is Named "Kalanjali", it is super exciting, many of the cultural and sporting events are organized during this period. Usually held in Sept-Oct. There is another festival Named "Verve", this is basically the traditional fest of the college, we all have to wear traditional dresses on this day. Quite fun it is. There is another fest that is organized by different branches every year, they are technical fest moreover.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The current fee structure is quite feasible as compared to other private colleges. It is 2.4 Lakh College fees for ComedK and Management students and quite half for KCET people. It has 5 units in a men's hostel Costing around 75K to 1Lakh. The hostel is quite clean and Nice with So many monkeys around.

Campus Life

3

The labs are fine. They are not good enough but unlike other colleges faculty here are co-operative and they make sure we learn even if the equipment doesn't work. The college is building better infrastructure and slowly but surely progressing to provide better lab facilities. The Gender Ratio is 60:40.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are very nice, rooms are quite well maintained, usually 2 sharing for UNIT 1,2,3,4 and 3 sharing for UNIT 5 students. Hostels are very very nice with good supporting staff. It has 5 units. Unit 1 and Unit 4 for Freshers and rest all mixed. Hostel availablity is very nice.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are quite helpful. There are an alumni meet held every year arranged by our college. The seniors are at good posts in different companies and are definitely helpful. We can definitely find seniors on LinkedIn or even contact them directly.

Admission

I got admission to my college through COMEDK. This exam is conducted after all the engineering entrances are done, in May. The Exam pattern is MCQ's with no negative marking. The questions are from easy to moderate level, a very few tuff questions will be there. Those who have prepared for jee mains well are going to rock this paper.

Faculty

3.5

A huge number of teaching faculties are here. Most of them are Young. No. Of female teachers are more out there. They are really supportive. Most of the faculty here are Ph.D.'s, M.Tech's and they have enormous knowledge, but somewhere few of them. they lack conveying it to the students. We have 7 periods on week days and 4 on Saturday. 4 before the lunch break and 3 thereafter.
