Life into GITS

Management organises every possible classes and events to polish the skills and development of each student. They are open to ideas and suggestions and their execution as well.

The course curriculum is structured very well for four years of engineering. We are taught all the recent languages and subjects with great practical knowledge. We have been trained in many in-house training and also have been attending training by experts from outside. Industrial visits to certain companies have been organised and proved to be very beneficial.

BYJUs, Thermax, V2Solutions are some of the many well esteemed companies that come for campus placement in the college. The procedure followed for recruitment is - 1. Written test (aptitude + technical) 2. Group discussion 3. Personal Interview Tentative percentage of students placed is between 70-75%. Institute provides us with extra classes for skill development and communication skills. They arrange tests to improve the same.

The college organised annual fest, freshers night, and other special functions on festivals and occasions. The college have clubs formed for different events whose students organised the same. They have been organizing literary and cultural events. Annual sports meet is organised where students all over the college take part. A big event i.e. Sci-Tech is organised by the college where students of 11th and 12th from all over the city participates.

The fee structure is feasible and mode is payment is generally cheque payment. No additional fee has to be paid to secure the admission in the department or college. The college provides full transparency for each and every section of the fees. They are providing each detail in the receipt.

I have not opted for any scholarship programme. Although, our college provides different scholarships based on percentage and government schemes. The procedure is well guided by the faculty incharge.

Gender ratio in the college is about 60:40 for boys and girls respectively. Every student is given equal opportunity and no one in particular is differentiated on the basis of caste, culture or race. Every student is made to participate in their specialised fields and help is given to each student in any case. Skills are nurtured and each new idea is welcomed and executed.

The seniors are very helpful and understanding. Each senior helps you as a mentor as well as a friend. There is a great network between seniors and juniors.

I was curious to pursue Computer Science and Engineering and know about this course and make my future into the same. This is considered the best institute for technology in the city, hence I chose GITS. I was admitted through the process of REAP, following it’s official procedure.

We have around 25-30 lecturers including well experienced professors and well experienced teachers. Most of the faculties are PhDs and many of them are Masters graduates. They have expertise in their particular subjects. Many of our faculty have industry experience and certifications.
