Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is a bit outdated but gives a clear idea about the basic health sciences. Exam pattern included theory's plus practical exam both. Theory exams are difficult to crack. Practical exams test all the practical skills a person has to have to be a medical practitioner
Placement Experience
As it is a medical college. We do not have any placements at out college but we have to personally wither opt for public or private practice
College Events
College organises alot of events. Some quiz events which include inter college medical quizzes. Medical seminars are organised twice a year. In which participation is mandatory. Cultural programs are organised once a year while last for a week or so.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Total programme fees is about 5 lakh rupees in total. Of which tou have to pay 80 thousand in first year if you are an open category candidate. Scholarship are available for students who have any kind of reservation. Fee is reduced to upto 10 k if scholarship is granted
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes college has scholarship schemes based on either their total family income or on the basis of their caste. Criteria is that either the total family income should be less than 8 lakh per year or the candidate should belong to a particular caste category
Campus Life
Infrastructure is a bit inadequate. Campus life is great. There are 2 canteens which serve at reasonable rates.No gender discrimination. Competition and sport event take place in regular intervals. There is also annual gatherings, sport days, cultural events, quiz and other events taking place simultaneously
Alumni/Alumna
Yes they are. Faculty is good at teaching. Provided with proper training and study material. Also helpful in solving doubts if we get any
Admission
NEET which is a national exam which is to be opted. NEET-UG exam compulsory for admission in any government medical college. I opted for this one because this is the only government aided college in Pune. Other colleges are either deemed or private university.
Faculty
Faculty is experienced. They have a good teaching experience of more than 20+ years. All of them are doctors obviously. Average age is about 40 years. Also many teachers have a research experience abroad which helps alot for the students to gain that extra bit of information
