The course and the curriculum is clinical based. Although it should also be research driven at times. The course consists of theory classes as well as clinical classes. The clinical classes are approximately 3 hours per day the whole yea having a big role

After the results of the final year all the students are compulsory to undergo an one year internship in the same assocuated hospital

College Events

Many events are celebrated in the college imcluding the freshers party, the annual festival called as the Ripple, saraswati puja, the holi party, the graduation party and many more. Out of these the biggest one is the annual cultural festival called RIPPLE.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible. As the medical college is government affilated therefore all the fees is subsidized based as compared to the private medical colleges offering the same course for the same perioed. The fees is taken on anual basis

No i am not currently aware of any scholarship awarded by the college. And i bave noten any education loan.

The campus of university college of medical sciences and Guru teg bahadur hospital us ver big with 6 hostels and 5 residential comples and lots of parks and community hall. There are sports facilitie like criclet, basketball, football, volleyball, badmintion.

Hostel Facilities

Yes i have opted in for the hostel. There are approximately 6 hostels apart from the residential complex in the campus. The hostel has a seperate gym and a common room with pool table and table tennis.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes the alumini and the seniors of the college are very helpful. 4-5 juniors are assigned with one volunteer senior.

Admission

The entrance to the college is via neet ug entrance exsm which tskes place approximately in msy every year. The reason why i chose this college is because it ranks amonh the top 5 colleges in india for the respective course i.e MBBS. You fill the neet ug form You get the admit card You give the exam on the respective date You get your result You undergo counselling procedure for the same for all the colleges in the country providing option for mbbs

Faculty

The faculty of thw college is very good. All of them are doctors except for some in the non clinical subjects. There are overall 19 subjecys in the whole clinical course. Tentative lectures differes for each subject depending upon the importance of them in the curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS curriculum is mostly standard, but its relevance is super high because of the massive patient load at SJH. That clinical exposure is the key thing that prepares you for both real life and NEET PG later—that’s why I chose VMMC. Improvements? We need less lecturing and more interactive case discussions and maybe more emphasis on research. Exams are non-stop, seriously! We have internals/semester exams every 3-4 months. They are tough (50% passing), but they force you to study well for the final big Proffs. It’s tiring, but it works.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very well structured and includes detailed study of all the aspects of medicine which is very relevant in today's world. Since mbbs curriculum is more about practical and less about theory we get a really good patient exposure which makes us ready to deal with patient problems in real life. The course curriculum can be made a little less hectic as in fourth year there are 11 subjects to cover so they can be distributed equally in all the other years and teaching methods can be made more interactive instead of professors just reading the slides monotonously

Course Curriculum Overview:

Academics is great and the labs are well maintained. All the pgs, Srs and professors are helpful. Projectors are there for teaching purposes. Exams held on weekly/monthly basis for better understanding of subjects and preparation of final examination.

Course curriculum are good but need some improvement.there is 3 subject in 1st year and 3 subject in 2nd year and only 2 subject in 3rd year and 11 subject in last 4th year so last year very tough.we need some more subject in 3rd year even 1st and 2nd year so we got some less headache in final year.

Students usually go for specialty courses and dont immediately start doing job , or they do residency which is around 6-7 years also depends course to course , in residency a person earns around 80000-90000 per month

The course curriculum is decided by the NMC therefore it is same for all of the doctors. Our college has a good clinical exposure and thus we learn a lot.
