Academics, infrastructure and Placements are quite good.But the college is too strict in maintaining discipline and opposite genders are not allowed to communicate. Perfect formals are only allowed inside the campus and mobile phones are prohibited.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is based on the anna University syllabus regulations as our college is affiliated to Anna University.The course curriculum contains the required theoretical and practical knowledge for the students. The exam structure is about two semesters per year and totally eight semesters with four to five electives at the core subjects during the final two years. The exams may be a little hectic as the even semesters come little quickly rather than odd semesters. Though you can manage to learn and research the various civil aspects.
Placement Experience
The placements and Job opportunities are enormous for the graduating students with the leading companies such as L&T, SAIPEM, and IT companies such as Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro, Amazon, Zoho and various other leading companies. The placements percentage of this year was quite good and huge.
College Events
The events such as symposiums and sports takes place are quite well, but the cultural events and management festivals also take place but they don't have a great participations. The cultural competitions takes place yearly and and conducted accordingly for the students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible providing 120000 for the government seat including transportation and mess. The management seats provide about 170000 including the transportation and mess. The transportation and mess is compulsory as college is situated at remote distance.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college helps through lot of scholarships for the students accordingly. I received minority scholarships of national government through college for the past three years. The loan availability is quite easy through banks.
Campus Life
The sports activities are well versed and the labs are equipped accordingly with the requirements. The opposite genders are not allowed to communicate in the campus therefore the student parties are prohibited and no other politics and economic status issues come in between.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors are kind and generous to help, they take good care of the juniors when we have any requirements.The seniors also help in the academic performance improvement and other extra curricular activities held in college.
Admission
I had interest in civil engineering from my 10th grade, so I chose civil engineering and through anna university counselling applied using my cut off mark in 12th grade.As I had a reasonable cut off mark I Chose R.M.K Engineering college.
Faculty
The faculty are very kind and quite co-operative. There can be no flaws imposed upon them. The faculty are generally doctors and professors who are well experienced and have a great manner of teaching stuffs
