Entrance Preview
I took the TNPCEE exam and scored around 60% in it. In 2004, that score was enough to get into the college. Now it is not something I could of think of. I chose Electronics and Communications engineering as I was advised that I could move to core or IT job if I chose this course. There was no interview and the admission process was quite simple.
Internships Opportunities
While I was there, there was no internships provided by the college. Although, I hear that now they are helping really deserving student to get what they want.
Placement Experience
Around 300 students from 2008 batch got placed in the first 2 IT companies itself (TCS, Infosys) that visited the college. That year alone 896 students were placed in aprox 137 companies. As many as 1136 students were placed in 107 different companies.
College Events
Only Technical events are celebrated in this college. Symposiums are to be planned well ahead and budgeted well ahead so that it will be conducted in an orderly manner. The Management frowns on cultural celebrations involving Cine stars or film songs and dance.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are provided for Top rankers and students from very poor background. College does not provide any loan facilities to the students. Bank loans have to be applied.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior Students will be helpful and good to have a contact with. There is absolutely no ragging in the College. There is a frequent visit of Alumni to share their career experience and provide guidance to the budding professionals. Alumni are connected well via facebook group formed by the college.
