Review of ITNU

Positive things: -Nirma is good college for engineering especially for Computer branch. -It gives students good placement, good environment for study. Negative things: -There is no hostel for B.Tech students -It feels more like school than college

Placements & job opportunities are good in college and yes, our college provides internship. This year Amazon, Media.net, Deutsche bank, Creast data system, Infosys, Oracle, Bank of America, Samsung Noida, TCS and many more come for interviews. Highest salary is about Rs. 27, 00, 000/- by amazon Average salary is about 5-6 lacs.

Technical and cultural, both type of events celebrated in college. There is one main technical event NU-TECH. which is the National Level technical fest of Institute of Technology. In this event, there are many technical competitions and workshops. There are many cultural fest also. NU-Zeal is one of them. In this event there is dance competition, singing competition and many more.

In Institute of Technology, there is about 30% girls and in branch like Civil and Mechanical, ratio is even worse. Students are from all over India. There are many clubs in the college. Some of them are Technical and some are Non-technical. This club organize fresher's party for 1st year students every year. Sports culture in Nirma is also good. There are labs for practical implementation of things which you learn from lectures. Labs in college is also good.

There is no hostel for UG students. Because of that, most of the students opted for other hostels or PGs or rent the flat. There are many hostels around the college. Most of them are good, having good infrastructure. Average fees of hostels around Nirma is Rs. 80, 000 to 90, 000. Fees are almost same for PGs also.

In the matter of senior students, Nirma is excellent. If i talk about our branch(CSE), seniors arranges lectures every week and sometimes twice a week to teach different algorithms, give lectures on the importance of competitive coding. They also tell us about interviews processes in this lectures. If we have any kind of query, they are always happy to solve it.

I got admission thourough ACPC Merit list. This merit list is based on GSEB 12th board marks of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (out of 300) and marks of GujCET exam. Weightage of PCM is 60% and GujCET is 40%. In this process, there is mock round first. Then there is 1st round and 2nd round of college selection. In this process, I got admission in 1st round as i got good rank(ACPC rank:275 in gujarat) in ACPC merit list.

Faculty of college is average. Each faculty of college is highly Qualified BUT in the matter of teaching, i would say it is average. Very few faculty is very good at teaching. If we have query about anything academics or except academics, they are happy to solve them. Remaining is average and some of them are really poor at teaching. Some faculty can not properly communicate with student.
