My College

Positive thing about college is its infrastructure. All the labs of college are well equipped. Hostel facilities are one of the best among the other NIT's. Sport ground is good here. Bad thing in my opinion is the course curriculum. Its not updated.

The course curriculum is somewhat old and not updated for a few years. But still it's good and we can get all the knowledge we require to be an engineer. College has semester grading system. Exams are held at mid and end of the semester.

College provides job and placement opportunities. College has a T&P section for the same. This section take care of internships also. Lot of companies came in college for campus placement. Overall experience good. College also provides internships under the qualified professor for research internship.

There are lots of events took place in college thouroughout the year. The main technical event of the college is named as "mind bend". It has various technical events. "SPARSH" is the main cultural event if the college.

Fee structure of college is decided by the government of India. As this is government college. Every student's fees is depend on his caste and economical background. SC and ST students have fees. Economically average students get a refund every year.

College does not provide any extra scholarships. Or maybe I am not aware about this. But it provides refund if 66 percent of college fees to student who's family income is below 6 lakh per year. Many students don't have any fees as their family income is less than 1 lakh per year.

College has a big ground located at center of the college. It has almost all the facilities. College has its own Gym and it is free for the student's. Gender ratio is poor till now but now girls has reservation. So its increasing. Here students from all over india taking admission.

Alumni network of college is strong. Every year there was a alumni meet and lots of alumni takes part in it. We students can interact with them and they used to share their experience. Seniors of college are good. Ragging is strictly prohibited in college. So seniors behaved well with their juniors.

As this is NIT, admission is carried out by JEE MAINS. You have to secure a good rank in JEE. I want to be an engineer, so I applied for this course. college offering me a B.Tech degree. Admission process is carried out by JOSSA.

Faculty of college is very experienced and expertise in their own subjects. Also they are keen to help students whoever wants to gain the knowledge. But some professors are not that qualified. But still overall teaching is good.
