My graduation-Government Holkar Science College

It is the no.1 government college of Science in Madhya Pradesh, India. Its campus is very large. It was established on 10 June 1891 hence it is the oldest college. It was established by Shivaji Rao Holkar, the ruler of the Holkar dynasty. The college is NAAC accredited and also the college is autonomous.

The courses are good includes basic subjects like maths physics, chemistry, etc and a dedicated subject which you have chosen. There are four days of the lab in a week. Exams are conducted on yearly basis in two parts, one of practice exam and one of the theoretical exam.

Yes, my college provides placement. It has a dedicated placement cell. It starts providing internships from the third year. There are not so many companies that come for placement but I know one company comes. It was TATA and it offers a job in which the salary was something 10000 rupees.

The college organizes various cultural events like:- 1. Essay writing 2. Poster making 3. Quiz competition etc. My college is very aware of the environment. It organizes plantations every year. It also has an NCC cadet service.

As it is a government college, the fee structure is feasible. The fee structure is as follows - 1. Firstly we have to pay the admission fee at the time of admission. The admission fee is different for different categories (ST/SC/OBC) 2. The course fee is the same for everyone. 3. The last one is the exam fee. You have to submit it before the exam.

My college provides various scholarship schemes. The one I received is MMVY (Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Vidhyarthi Yojna). Under this no exam fee and course fee you have to pay except the admission fee. College doesn't provide any loan facility.

The college organizes workshops from time to time. As I am currently in a workshop holding in our department. Its name is "embedded system design based on arduino". The gender ratio is almost one. In college, there is a secretory of students whose election is held every year.

I had interacted with my known seniors about the college environment when it was fresher. They are helpful in providing notes and books. They understand how the exam is held and how to prepare for it. But some seniors are not good they tried to divert me from my goal but I ignored them.

I got admission to this college on the basis of the 12th percentage. Firstly we have to fill the form for the allocation of seats in the desired college on the higher education portal. Then on the basis of the merit list, you got admission to college.

All the faculties are good and experienced. They explain in such a way that you will remember it easily. They focus on basic concepts of the topic. They are good in nature, they are not so rigid, not so flexible.
