Remarks
Overall, I'm very happy with CMC, it has strong roots and a foundation with a good medical mentality. The faculty have a strong bond with the hospital and are really helpful as they follow a fellowship mentality to the church.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is very vast and extensive. But so far it seems worth it. It has many clinical aspects and lab time is crucial. Most days are very hectic and it's difficult to cope with daily potions. We have monthly exams as well.
Placement Experience
Very good, we have an in-built internship program of a year. I have not yet reached that phase yet, but the pay is negligible in comparison with other hospitals and interns. Future job prospects are very broad.
College Events
Musicals yearly, institutional choirs, medical Olympics, AMSA programs, weekly activities, Syndrome, Symphony, Euphoria, Systole. These are the various events that the college conducts in an academic year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
6 lacs per annum. The fee structure seems reasonable for a medical college of this standard, loan programs and applications are possible in college. All in all, some find it expensive while others see it as good in the long run.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a loan facility available, the students that require this are dealt with discretely. I am unaware of the extent of its details but all in all students from all aspects of the community are happy.
Campus Life
CMC has many extracurricular activities, there are parties on occasion, and almost nil racism, sexism is a slight issue but that is mainly due to a community ill sight. There are various organizations present in college to boost our hobbies.
Hostel Facilities
We all have single rooms for boys, girls have a roommate. The rooms are large and spacious. We are allowed to fit our own AC and fringes. The yearly fee is 36000. Which is very reasonable if you ask me.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni of CMC are all over the globe, mostly residing in Australia. I have interacted with a good number of them, my sister also being an alumnus. This is one of the main reasons why I picked this college. It had overall good feedback.
Admission
I wrote NEET and had a good score. This college was at the top of my priority list, and it has exceeded expectations. There were 2 counseling rounds after which I got chosen. The detailing was very fine as we are future doctors.
Faculty
The faculty is varied as in every college, some departments are very very talented and eager to show us clinical cases, but others are not so much. The hospital is very chaotic and as students, it is difficult to get the required attention.
