Remarks

Positives: No ragging. Friendly atmosphere. Safe hostel environment. The 51-acre land, making us ease to walk through departments. Negatives: Fewer fests Hectic exams The food in the hostel is not that good.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The courses the college opts for a department are concerned about the overall development of the student. They even provide research facilities in the college itself. As per as exams are concerned the tests are conducted once a month, at the start of the semester you feel this is a piece of cake, but when the time comes during the second-third test, you will really feel hectic and depressed, but that lasts for two weeks. So after that life comes back to normal.

Placement Experience

5

The placements are the major factor that this college has to compete with many other NITs and other private colleges. Companies like Amazon, Bazaz, Bosch, CISCO, Cognizant, Dell, etc. 230 other companies have visited and are visiting each year and recruiting the cream layer students of the college.

College Events

5

The only demerit this college has fewer cultural events and fests. But this year 2020 they are conducting a fest which shouldn't be a problem. Many good singers do come and grab attention and mark good impressions.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is moderate. Only in addition to the hostel facilities it seems to be a huge amount but for a family of two Govt. Employees shouldn't cause an issue paying a total of 3 lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

Well, I haven't availed any such scholarships or loans but I do notice they offered scholarships for minorities and rural area students. As per the loan is concerned, I didn't avail for them, I pay my fees on regular basis.

Campus Life

4.5

The Gender ratio differs in each department. Sorry to say the mechanical department still holds the place of having fewer girls. As far as other departments are concerned, the ratio will be about 4:1 boys to girls. There are many technical and non-technical workshops held by various innovative clubs of RVCE, we find some free space and our own interests in those clubs. Well as per the diversity concern, the students mainly are from south-India and rest from North India, and very few are from the Eastern part of India. Regarding gender tolerance, all are friendly and extroverted, so no issues or problems as such.

Hostel Facilities

4

1st year - 3 students per room 2nd year - 2 students per room 3rd year - 2 students per room 4th year - single student per room For the first year the hostel rooms are allocated on basis of first-come-first-serve, for the next years they consider our grades as a criterion to allocate rooms. There are PGs around the college with similar fees.

Alumni/Alumna

We can see the interaction between the college seniors will be less. Since college doesn't have ragging and all stuff ( which I do like most) but it is also affected as we cannot interact with seniors. The possible ways are many to get interacted through clubs, mutual friends, having to be in same school or college previously, etc.

Admission

I got admission through the COMED-K test, since I was fond of computer science and programming I chose CSE. I got the expected course for 291 ranks in the test. The admission process was a bit lengthy but precise and accurately done through the instructions they provided. At first with my marks in JEE, BITS, I had a chance to join NIT pondicherry ECE, BITS Hyd. EIE, and are V COLLEGE CSE. And since I was interested in CSE, and even I heard of good reviews of this college, I joined this college.

Faculty

5

Generally, there are 80% of the staff are very well known and take a good concern of students and help them improve their skills personally, whereas the other staffs though are knowledgeable too but only concern about the syllabus and assignments.
