Remarks

A lot can be improved but people are too careless to do that. There has been much fund influx from government and rusa but nothing has been seen developing thourough those funds. The promise to do many things but do nothing. Only if faculties would care to do more then only e university may develop.

Course Curriculum Overview

0.5

The courses are fine but many topics are there which are totally irrelevant and have no future application. The courses design are not effective and could be made better. The exam structure is fine but the ratio are are given after six or seven months of examination. The delay in giving the results is intolerable.

Placement Experience

0.5

Hindi story ideas of session not enough opportunities are internships I have heard of. Department had just one internship with RBI and after that nothing has been mentioned about other opportunities. Scholarships are not given and also stipends are not given. No one is taking a stand for the responsibility to should do the examination for scholarships or take/ consider this action important one.

College Events

0.5

Events like open mic and other competitions are done bt not in a large scale. The events celebrated are mainly intra department competitions and celebrations but not performed taking university as a whole. Also the intra department competitions information is biased. Some competitions we know about would be held the previous day. Information is not circulated properly and hence there is no good participation of students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Utkal university well known government university in the whole state of Odisha. Students from different income levels come to the university and they are also from different parts of Odisha and hence the fee structure is feasible. Not that expensive like the private institutions have. SC ST OBC are given special preference they have reservations too.

Fees and Financial Aid

In these 2 years not one scholarship or its information has been given. Many a times of faculties have promised for scholarships but till now nothing has been told further. Many funds are given by government and rusa but nothing is used to give scholarships. They are totally not caring about it.

Campus Life

2

All faculties are open minded. Many e are conservative in nature. There is very minimal effort in conducting regular seminars or workshops.in two years there has not been a single club like literary club or sports club poetry club there is nothing like that in our department. faculties are too busy doing that other work other than teaching and administrating their own department

Hostel Facilities

0.5

I opted for hostel in the first year but after 7 months I left it. The facilities are very e less not a single good cafeteria is there in the university. Hostel food is very bad.there are many issues like water issues food problems administrative issues. Hostel seats are allocated and reserved.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior se very good they helped in many ways thourough notes giving information about admission examination dates, marking system, can help us in information about what books to read or refer to for which subject.

Admission

Thourough entrance exams and we were called on a date for admission. We have to fill up forms and also there was health insurance attached with the fee structure. The seniors and the faculties helped us with admission process.

Faculty

0.5

Faculties are qualified but they are not effective in their deliverance. they could do much better if they want. I feel as if they are too careless in teaching. Post graduation classes should not be like that. I seriously wanted cctv cameras to be fit in her classrooms so as to show the world how how faculties teach in nominally e mentioned good universities of Odisha.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love literature and want to become a writer in the future. For this reason I chose arts stream and studied English literature. The curriculum fully supports the students to excel in their careers both in academic line as well as public servant jobs. From writing CV to application, Resume, and even to face interviews, this course prepared me for upcoming big events in my career. My soft skills developed especially after i joined this course and University. In every six months a semester is conducted by the University, it does not bias on markings, as the paper is checked outside the University. The difficulty level of these exams is moderate to hard.

I'm doing masters in english and my course is very good if you are interested in literature. If you are a literature enthusiast then my course tends to provide you with vast knowledge about the history of english literature and british literature, european literature etc. But the only drawback is it doesn't provide placements or many job opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Historical distribution is quite good in my curriculum which widens my scope of learning for further exams. The curriculum definitely prepares me for real world applications with its evergreen content. However, some creative aspects can be added in the curriculum. Exams happen at regular intervals and the difficulty level is moderate.
