Remarks
The College is one of the best TIER -2 law colleges of India. The infrastructure is amazing, the teaching staff is great.The postive vibe is there in this college The college is a centrally ac which makes it the only college in the IP UNIVERSITY to have this facility due to which studying here is very comfortable.The college has some amazing faculties who are the repositories of knowledge.
Course Curriculum Overview
BBA LLB is one of the finest course of any student who wants to pursue Law as it is a 5 year integrated dual degree course.There are 5 subjects in each semester and the last semester is of the dissertation where you have to do research. In each of the semester, the personality development modules are also there which gives a practical insight into the real world. Apart from that, after 4th semester, The summer internship has to be done at after every even semester ends under an Advocate or a law firm which is one the most fantastic experience of any law student.
Placement Experience
The college provides placement in various law firms but not TIER -1 Law firms.Many a times, the law firms are run by 2-3 Advocates due to which the payout is also not very high. So, it is generally depending upon the personal contacts of the students to manage his internships and jobs as well.
College Events
The college has the biggest disadvantage of not organising it's law fest.However in the other departments like BCA, BBA, MCA fests are held. Even in 2015 Law department also held it's fest named GRAVITY but after that no fest was held. However, the college organises International Moot Court Competition which is a big hit in our college along with various Negotiation and Mediation Competitions.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The college as of today charges around 1lacs / year for BBA LLB in which around 60000-70000 is tuition fees and the other charges like development Fees constitute the rest. However I paid only 75000 per year and fees was hiked for the next year batches.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college has no facility of providing any loan or any other financial help.Even there is no such facility where a student can pay in installments.The payment of money has to be done at the very outset when the admission is done and then till every July after that.
Campus Life
The extra curricular activities are not that prominent.The college organizes various inter college negotiation, mediation competitions where the students of various big colleges also participate which makes it famous in Delhi and the other adjacent regions of Delhi.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors here are very helpful.Even they help in the getting the internships.But I didn't interact much with my seniors.However the college has an amazing track record of producing judges. So, one will find a lot of Judges in Delhi who have graduated from VIPS.
Admission
I got the admission in the college by securing under 1000 rank in the IPU CET exam in 2014. I had the option to pursue BA LLB also but I opted for BBA LLB as I wanted a course with the content related to Business & Management along with the law. There is no interview process for getting admission in the college. In the present time, IP University doesn't conduct its own entrance test.Rather, I t takes admission on the basis of the score secured in CLAT.
Faculty
The faculty in my college is highly experienced and at the same time, it has a great combination of young professors also. The subject is alloted to the faculty according to their expertise and they are really very good.
