Muthukumaran's Review On Sri Venkateswara College Of Engineering - [SVCE], Sriperumbudur

The management was doing their job pretty much better so no bad things about the college. The industrial visits and internship programs arranged by them so appreciable. The ISRO people will come and conduct several seminars to encourage the people in Space research.The hostel facilities were also appreciable. I suggest them to allow sponsors so that the college name will reach everyone and celebrities visit the college means it will become so popular. The office personnels can be changed because they were too old. Then please try to bring non veg system into the college. The electricity and water facilty in both college and hostel was awesome.

Actually I took this college through Anna University Counselling which was based on marks obtained in 12th exams conducted by tamilnadu board. As my father owned the automobile shop,i had a passion to study mechanical or automobile engineering from my childhood, but for my cut off mark in 12th i wont get Mechanical seat in PSG Tech, so tried Automobile seat in the PSG Tech, but during the counselling because of my low session rank i missed the last seat of Automobile Engineering in PSG Tech, So after that college SVCE ranks next in mechanical engineering so I took Mechanical in SVCE, Chennai.

The course curriculum was standardized by Anna university, it was pretty good curriculum which covers all the concepts of automobile, mechatronics, instrumentation engineering in brief and also some computer papers.

The internship was pretty better the opportunities were set to the students by the college management itself the several excellent companies like SAINT GOBAIN, TAFE conducts tests for their internship program which they will offer for 3 months with stiffen. I got intern in SAINT GOBAIN where you can see the manufacturing of glasses at close and the learn many things regarding Manufacturing. The certificate given by them will be very useful in future for job. They even recruit people who perform outstandingly in intern for their company which was the package of 6.6 lakhs per annum at first year.

I am damn sure that you will a IT job when you came out of the college even you have backlogs during the semesters. Even i got it, why i use the word "even i got" because i am from a village who doesn't speak English properly, so i got feared to speak in Group Discussions,HR Interviews.But the support by the placement. The common IT companies offer 3-3.5 lakhs pa. The core companies offer 5-12 lakhs pa for IT core ZOHO, L&T, Freshdesk, Microsoft. Verizon and many more for Mech TAFE, ROYAL ENFIELD, RANE, HYUNDAI, etc. For common, all the students will get a add-on job from CTS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE.

The college lags in this issue, because there is no inter level festivals and they don't allow outside sponsors to advertise inside the campus, but every year every department celebrates their symposium at high level which was sponsored by management where the seniors organised it and juniors expose their talents in symposium in the form of projects, presentations etc. During my second year i exposed my project in prototype level and events conducted were conducted are awesome,i enjoyed a lot. The next year, being senior i am one of organizing committee i organized a new event called Angry Birds,which was a famous smart phone game. I came that into real and got a brilliant response and appreciation.

The college management allocated 2 crores for scholarships every year the outstanding student in every class gets 20,000rs as compliment every semester. The the best sports person, best NCC student awards are also available in addition to that they will inform about the scholarship announced by the state and central governments. As i am not the outstanding student but i get the scholarship from central government for loans you can know your ward number and contact the appropriate bank for that ward. You can get loans after joining by consulting bank and college.

The gender ratio will be 1:1 in IT, CS, EEE, ECE branches.1:50 in CIVIL, MECHANICAL AUTOMOBILE. The campus life was too good, the college life will be awesome in this campus, the canteen and grounds were particularly wonderful. The college was engaged with CTS for a workshop and club in which contains certain students from each department had direct contact with Cognizant people help to improve communication among students by conducting several classes and debates. Sports-wise every talented person can able to achieve their in the preferred sports. My class team was won a world class price in space mission to mars by submitting a mission project report NASA and its become top 10 in the world.

First of all, I stayed in college hostel for the whole five years one of the most safety hostel for boys and girls with more security systems like CCTV's. The fees for hostel was somewhat high but worth for it. The non-veg was not allowed inside the campus.But the food are even being veg, it will tastes good. There was some restrictions for first years alone. The greater advantage of hostelers was anytime use of swimming pools and Gym. The sports facilities were brilliant in both indoor and outdoor games. There were two cricket grounds in which one was real cricket ground in which tamilnadu club matches were held i rate the hostel for full marks if electricity gone, the next second generator will be on so no problem of electricity. The water comes daily in lorry to fill the sump in the hostel and they use RO system to purify it, so water scarcity will be not possible.

Yeah i am going to be a part of Alumni Network. Strictly ragging prohibited in our college,specifically in hostels. Separate Staff team was working on this issue. The seniors wont mind the juniors much but so helpful in Leo clubs, NSS and department symposiums. Even after the students passed out,they will be in touch with college, the juniors can contact for asking about their working company and regarding placement doubts. Every year the alumni network will come to the college and meet the staffs and colleges and present a momento to the college and each will contribute their work to the college.

The faculties in the college were well experienced as the mechanical department was started in 1985,the laboratory facilities were awesome. There are some young energetic faculties too with M.S scholars and the 25 years experienced faculties with Ph.D holders. They behave the students in friendly manner and helps to sort of all difficulties that the students face in subjects and in the life too.
