Remarks
The vast college campus was the best thing about the college but the faculty was not up to the mark which made our experience at one of the best B schools in city very average. The library and infrastructure facilities provided to us were very good.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course Curriculum- 6 trimesters over a period of 2 years with an average of 7 subjects per trimester. It was well balanced with some hectic days and some days chilled. The second year was mostly focussed on the Specialization field which we chose for ourselves which took us into more depth in the subjects we studied and also research was the main focus here.
Placement Experience
The placements and job opportunities were good and yes they do provide internships. In finance companies like Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, HDFC and Axis Bank came offering stipend between 10k-35k per month
College Events
We had an annual fest which was celebrated over a course of 2 days where all the colleges around india participated including the top Bschools like IIM, XLRI, Jamnalal Bajaj, etc. Also, there is also Ted Talks event, and various conferences held where students & faculties around the country present their research papers and inculcate knowledge to the wider audience
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is very feasible as it was 240000 per year which is good as compared to most of the BSchools and also considering that it is one of the best B schools in Mumbai. This included the tuition fee as well as the infrastructure development fee and the library deposits.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college in affiliation with Mumbai university provides scholarship to students of minority section and to people whose family income is less than 8L pa. Also Canara bank provides loans at doscounted rate since KJ Simsr is in their list of top Bschools in India
Campus Life
The extra curricular activities are also very good with various events lined up regularly where all the students can showcase their talents including intra college and inter college events. The campus is very hige and accomodates a running track, cricket ground and football ground, lawn tennis court, amphitheatre which motivates student to practice and participate in such events
Alumni/Alumna
The Alumni network is very good with atleast 4 events per year where they host events across majority of cities.The seniors are also very helpful and they guide us thourough not only studies but also thourough the interviews.
Admission
I scored 99.13 percentile in my CET entrance exams which was the only admission criteria to get selected. This course is interests me a lot as i love management and finance a lot and also this course is one of the best in Mumbai since it is affiliated with the Mumbai University and thus it will get recognition anywhere I will go over the courses which are provided solely by college
Faculty
The Faculty was very average i would say though they were well qualified. Most of them weren't up to the mark.Their teaching methodology and teaching material was not that great and this was a big negative from our course.
