Life in MNLU, Nagpur

The life here in this college is good overall. You can expect a decent living. Also crowd is nice too. People here are very helpful in nature. You will easily blend with the environment here. Thanks.

The course structure is well laid down keeping in view the various aspects of law. All the subjects whethere be it history or english are taught from a legal perspective. The life here is very hectic, you won't even get time to watch movies or anything you like to do.

We don't know yet about the placement opportunities as none of the batch has passed out but the internship committee is doing a great work in providing every student with an internship. The overall experience with the Internships is good.

The colleges hold 2 cultural and 2 sports fesr every year. Cultural fests are lawkriti and sanskrotsav while sports fest are sarambh and UPL. Lawkriti is a 3 day cultural event, with various things happening in these 3 days. While sanskrotsav is a one day event on which one has to wear traditional attire. Both the sports fest are same the only difference is sarambh is open for all the law colleges while UPL is for only the students of MNLU nagpur.

The college offers various scholarships to students from different states. The scholarships are also given on merit and need basis. The committee which does this work tries to provide every needy person with a good opportunity.

Gender ratio is 1:1. There are a plenty of extra curricular activities happening here in this University. You have workshops, seminars every other day and there are a lot of cultural and sports events happening thourough the year.

The hostels are located at outskirts of the city. And it is basically apartments, we are given flats, in a 2bhk flat, there are 4 students. The rooms, flats are well made with basic amenities. You get coolers, gysers and what not.

We don't have an alumni network yet but the seniors of our college are very helpful, in fact we live as a family. The whole MNLU is a big family, with everyone knowing everyone. Without the helo of a senior one can not survive here.

To get admission in NLU's one is required to prepare for CLAT i.e the common law admission test. Now on the basis of your rank in CLAT, colleges are alloted. A rank of around 1200 can easily get you MNLU, nagpur.

The faculty of MNLU, Nagpur ranges from mediocore to highly trained professors. There are 50 - 60 teaches between 400 students. So every student gets specific attention from the teacher. Some teachers are very monotonous too but overall the faculty is good.
