Review about Computer engineering program at Nirma University

Academic is too hectic around 9-4 daily. Generally we do not have classes on Saturdays and Sundays. Faculties are bit Orthodox and you have to maintain great discipline in campus and during classes. You can't easily get 9cpga only 5% students achieve 9cgpa

Curriculum is good enough it almost cover all basic level computer engineering courses to higher level courses required. You also get a choice of electives with which subjects you want to learn. Exams are bit hectic as you have 3 exams in a semester class test, mid sems and end sem. In classtest and midsems there are two exams per day so it gets little hectic.

Placements and job opportunities are very good. Almost every student in ce got placed in good companies. Average annual package is around 7lpa and highest is around 28lpa. Many companies do come to hire interns but around 50 percent of students gets paid internship. Iii cell of college helps a lot to students in placement process.

There are approximately 10 major events in a calendar year which includes NuTech national level tech fest around 5000 participation. Also there are cultural fest like Nuzeal, Rangmanch, Horizon and there are many student clubs and associations which conducts annual techfests.

Fee structure is moderate not too higly expensive or cheap.fees per annum is around 250k but many students get scholarships from college or government of Gujarat. Fees are fixed they do not increase everyyear. You have to pay same amount of fees for 4 years.

I got annual scholarship of RS 50000 from University. Generally top 5 students get total fee waiver. Then around 10 students per branch get annual scholarship of 100000, 10 students get annual scholarship of 90000, 25 students get annual scholarship of 25000 and 30 students get annual scholarship of 25000

Lab infrastructure is good enough. They have ample number of Computers. They do have GPU and powerful computers as well which students can use. They have excellent sports infrastructure. A full sized cricket ground, basketball, lawn tennis, volleyball and badminton courts are there on campus.

Hostel facilities is not available for U.G students. But there are lots of hostels and pg available near by. You can get yearly accommodation outside campus for around 100000 per annum including food.

Seniors are quite helpful. There is absolutely zero ragging on campus. Seniors are friendly and they give great guidance. Alumni network is strong. Many of them are at key positions in top corporations.

My ACPC merit rank was 507 and All India rank was 25811 I was able to get admission thourough both ACPC and All India merit but I choose acpc as thourough acpc admit I got 50000rs annual scholarship. There is no interview for admission. Course is not fully updated but Machine learning and Deep learning courses are very good.

Some of faculties are experts in their respective specialization subjects. While some of faculties do not have great teaching skills overall I would rate faculties 6.5/10. But all faculties shows lot of interest in teaching process.
