Sivanath Sastri College (Review)

There are two dislikes in my college, 1. The seating arrangements We really feel like suffocating during summer. We need to adjust ourselves. 2. The washouroom No, they are clean But there are around one students studying in the college, but only 6 washouroom, we literally have to wait for our turn

Calcutta university is one the most popular university in Asia. And my college in under calcutta university, since it's one of the famous university therefore the exams are pretty tough. But if the level of dedication of a student is high, then he/she can easily manage with the course. We have semester system, for my course we have 6 semester that's for 3 years. Theory paper is of 80 marks and practical is of 20. You need to pass in both, with 33% in each.

No my college doesn't provide internship. But yes they offer placement to the deserving students. TCS is the top recutting company. Nearly seventy students in 400 gets a job from the campus each year.

Yeah our college helds many cultural events like the teachers day, rabindranath tagores birthday, many other events too. We have a social in the month of February, different bands come to the college for this event. We also celebrate holy in the college premises.

Very feasible, since it's a government aided college we only need to pay 11,200 a year. We don't need to pay monthly fees, the whole amount of 11,200 is collected only once a year. Other courses fees are low, like in B.A it's around egight-nine thousand for a year.

The college doesn't ifselve offers any scholarship for the current students. But yes you can definitely opt for the scholarship scheme from the college, that amount will be paid by the stare goverment according to your number.

It's a girls college. We have two to thouree workshops once a month. We respect each other's religion or sexuality. We don't have any issues regarding that. We have a union but thats non political. The economics status is pretty good.

I really have a good connection with my seniors. There's no ragging in our campus. It's a ragging free campus. One parent can surely admit her ward without any worries of ragging. Though some seniors don't behave properly with the juniors.

It's one of the top 10 commerce college in kolkata, it's under calcutta university which is again the best university in kolkata. I choose it because of the morning shift. You know you can go to home and take an afternoon nap.

Since it's a government affiliated college, so the building is not that good. But in comparing the other affiliated colleges it's really good. Even we have free Wi-Fi in the college premises. But again comming to the seats we have to adjust six students in a bench of 4. That's become really disgusting during summer.
