Remarks
Our college has a very good environment for study but the competition between students is not that healthy, which sometimes leads to no productive work. Various events have been started to make the students more competitive which will hopefully help us a lot.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Course Structure is very good and is based on the current modules being taught in all central universities and latest studies of Computer Science. The course structure allows you enough time to study on your own as well as learn extra skills. The course is semester based with 20+10 marks Mid Semester and 70 Marks end semester examination.
Placement Experience
As it is a University and is not in metro area, yet small companies like Seceon and Dark Horse come to our University for placement purposes. The average salary offered is 3- 4 lpa. Our college do not provide internships.
College Events
There are two types of events that are organized. One is the annual cultural fest that is organized by Institute of Science including all departments of science. The event is named "AAKANKSHA" and is a very joyful for all Science graduands. Another event named "SANGANAN" is organized by the Department of Computer Science on occasion of Programmers Day. Coding Contests, Quiz, Gaming etc are organized in this. It is more of like a Techfest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is very feasible. It is structured in such a way that anyone can afford it very easily. The whole course fee is approximately 6000/- for Day Scholars and 15000/- for the Hostellers.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are no scholarships that the department offers. But there are few scholarships that the state and central government offers for economically weaker sections. As I have not availed any, thus do not have any detailed knowledge about it.
Campus Life
The labs are well equipped and fully functional. The University has many playgrounds for sports purpose and a gym is also in the campus free of cost for students. The gender ratio is of about 1 girl to 3 boys but there is no cultural/religious or gender discrimination. Everyone is treated equally.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors are very helpful and cooperative. They always inspire us to enhance our skills and guide us in academics. The social network between us and our alumni is good and they also guide us on how to develop ourselves for the corporate world as well as in research areas.
Admission
As I was interested in Computer Science from my school time and since BHU is one of the greatest University to study in, I chose M.Sc Computer Science from here. The entrance exam is purely based on Graduation Syllabus. The minimum eligibility for admissions is to achieve 35% of topper's marks in the entrance and 6. 5 CGPA in Graduation.
Faculty
The teachers are well qualified. Recruitments of few more faculties will enhance the department academic level. Professors are very helpful and encourage to learn New skills and develop new ideas. The faculties are always keen to make us do different events, with the help of them we have organized many coding contests as well as workshops. They are very friendly.
