Remarks
There are no societies, or priority to extracurricular activities. The days are superb long and tiring. The hostel facilities are only given to outside NCR students, and it takes some students 3 hours to travel one side and is hectic for a great number students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is a 4 year course with a semester system pattern for examinations. Basically it has 8 sems in which the subjects are divided. The first m 2 semesters deal with general biology and chemistry subjects to build a foundation for the course. Later on the main disciplines of pharmacy are introduced. There is huge scope of research in the subjects which is encouraged to each children. The days are long and hectic as classes from 9- 5 and societies are not present.
Placement Experience
Placement is average and not so good. College does not provide internshio, however makes it compulsory to submit internship certificate afer 3 year. Usually the placement offered are by companies such as CIPLA, ELLi LILLY, SUN PHARMA, HAMDARD LABS etc. My internship was in ARBRO, working in Quality Assurance department. There was no stipend and it was for a duration of 1. 5 years.
College Events
The college celebrates university cultural fest, sports week with events of football, cricket, volleyball, basketball along with indoor games of table tennis, tennis, badminton, chess, carrom. The other events are javelin thourow, shot out, athletics, long jump and high jump. Besides there are Jashn- e- adab functions, poetry festivals, qawali performances, mushaira etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure for 2017- 21 was 75, 000 for self finance students per sem, 45, 000 for regular students and industrial sponsored otlr foreign nationals pay $25, 000 epr month. The fee is due in the first month of every semester begining. The students in both section are around 130 together out of which there is reservation for 60 Muslim and rest general.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no scholarship program known of as such. But there is a scholarship for Muslims scoring above 80% in semester exams. The other scholarship facilities are not discussed. However for muskims there is a free UPSC Coaching class with staying facilities and produces good results.
Campus Life
The Hamdard institute has a gender ratio of 40:60 female:male. There are many conferences and workshops held of technicalfield. Eminent personalities are often invited for guest lectures. There are no societies. However the college provides exchange student program and there are students from Nigeria, Iraq, Iran, Syearia, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet etc. There is a no union policy and hence there are no teacher or student association.
Alumni/Alumna
There is a huge alumni network. Every year in the begining of the academic year there is an alumni meet in which all the alumnis are invited. We are allowed to interact with them and they are very responsive and ready to help us.
Admission
It was abackup option to MBBS. The college is ranked no. 1 in NIRF ranking. They called us on the basis of NEET rank. Afterwards released merit list on basis of which I got my admission. There were 2 merit list based on first cutoff. Later other ranks were called and similar merit lists were made upto a waiting list. The admission process was hastle free and easy to process.
Faculty
The faculty of the college has a mixed status. Some are super easy to approach whereas are some are a bit difficult to deal with. All in all the teachers are ready to help the children, guide us for our futures, provide support outside the curriculum, helping us in the research process. They guide us time to time and are available at all times to clear our doubts. All the teachers are research oriented and have ample knowledge in this field.
