Remarks

I had a good experience in this college for four years and those four years will always be remembered and cherished.

Entrance Preview

KEE2013 is the entrance exam for this university apart from this, HSC marks are also considered while picking subjects at the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum does have a focus on research and is very helpful for people who have aspirations to do research in the future. However it is not industry oriented and hence not very suitable for people looking for immediate placements and jobs.

Internships Opportunities

College does not provide any internships and the students are expected to do them outside during semester holidays.

Placement Experience

1

The only bad streak in all this is the placements as I mentioned before, if the student is oriented towards research then this is an amazing place. But if placements are your thing then it will be disappointing. Only IT companies come for recruitment. Our batch we had Capgemini and Accenture.

College Events

2

Technical, cultural, management festivals which the college holds are remarkable. These are excellent opportunities to learn a lot other than what you find in the curriculum and the food is simply splendid. Almost always. Cultural fests are a lot of fun and mostly concentrate on getting people together and time for bonding and socializing.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is on the higher side and I would say that for the placements they provide it is priced a bit too high. There are no proper internships nor are there placements with good packages. The highest package was only 3 lakh per annum for our batch of students. And even that was offered only by an IT company.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarships are offered by the university that you can avail easily. Being a topper of my department I still had to struggle for almost 2 years before I finally got one scholarship approved verdict not worth it.

Campus Life

4

We have students from all over the world coming all the way here to get their degrees. Hence the population is quite vast and diverse. With regards to gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics and economic status it is neutral. Gender ratio however is not distributed equally among various departments.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The college happens to be a residential college and the hostel facilities are pretty decent. The overall food can be rated as good. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Spacious and airy. I loved every moment I have spent in the hostels of Karunya. The hostel rental per year was around 20k and there was additional fee for the food every month which came to about 3k.

Alumni/Alumna

Most of our alumni have inspired us with their success stories. Our seniors have always been supportive and helpful and in my experience I have not seen ragging of any sort in our college.

Exam Structure

Exams are well planned and we are given ample time to prepare ourselves. Exams by themselves aren't very difficult as long as the students plan it accordingly. But it definitely is not chilled out so you can forget that. Labs are the same and you will have to prepare for it accordingly. But my personal experience for labs is just one night before the exam suffices for more than an eighty percent.

Faculty

3.5

In my experience, the teachers were all pretty good with some being exceptionally good. But it all comes down to the interest of the students and willingness to get involved and persevere towards their aspirations. All in all faculty are definitely good.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.
