Remarks
The college is good I'd say but in the end it all depends on you and your caliber, how much you are ready to absorb and make the best of the two years.
Entrance Preview
IBSAF i don't remember the score I got but I had got into IBS Hyderabad as well but I chose IBS Gurgaon looking at various things like the ROI and obviously the location. Since it was a central location, close to my home city Dehradun, I preferred IBS Gurgaon. Also, I compared the average placements of both the IBS and there wasn't much difference.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is by far very wide it covers almost everything and includes practical knowledge through various case studies, external as well as prepared by the internal faculty of IBS.There are a lot of presentations which enable you to gain that confidence and develop your overall personality.
Internships Opportunities
The college has 100% internship there are hundreds of companies that come for the internship, from big 4s to various start ups. The general stipend varies from 0-18000.Internship procedure starts from November and goes on till all the students are through.
Placement Experience
Even placements of our college is 100%. No student is left unemployed. There are placements in the field of marketing, content marketing, digital marketing, finance, hr etc. But the best placements as percentage comes in marketing field followed by finance.
College Events
Apart from the big event like the annual fest, farewells and freshers, every friday we have various activities by various college clubs to build up your overall personality and gain a certain level of confidence and also it gives an opportunity to follow your hobby.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I wouldn't say its too expensive but not too feasible also. Its fine as compared to other management colleges but yes as compared to the infrastructure, I wouldn't say it justifies the fees. Although there's a good big sports ground, a garden, canteen, library, lab and all the rooms are fully air conditioned but yes one thing where the infrastructure lacks is auditorium.
Fees and Financial Aid
ICFAI partners with various banks and institutes for easy educational loan facility for the students.
Campus Life
Diversity in students is huge i have students in ,my class from Assam, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, Mumbai etc. Gender ratio is almost equal for extra curricular activities I'd say THUMBS UP. You won't ever get bored of them. We have annual sports day where equal participation takes place for every sport. Lab, library everything else is good.
Hostel Facilities
There are no hostel facilities but yes the college provides various PG services which are really good. Also, PGs and flats are easily available near the college area. The nearnby localities are safe for students and local markets are there for any kind of need. Regarding the mess, the college has its own canteen which has a wide variety if options with a good taste.
Alumni/Alumna
Many of my classmates have got there SIP through alumni. Various alumni startups have also hired students as interns from our college. Every year we have Alumni Meet which is very helpful in networking.
Exam Structure
Every semester we have internals and externals. A part of the syllabus is covered in the internal examinations. Its a two hours examination of 50 marks each whereas the externals are 100 marks three hours examination. Also, internals include other marking as well like for class participation, the assignments and the presentations you give.
Faculty
The faculty is very good and knowledgeable esp the marketing faculty. They're not only concerned with your studies but help you groom overall also. You can go to them with any kind of problem that you're facing. The faculty also takes initiatives and bring in newer ideas as to how the teaching can be made more effective. Like we had this activity for the subject "Personal Effective Management" wherein we had to go to Dillii Haat and interview tourists and shopkeepers and ask relevant questions and improve our overall personality.
