Remarks

College management is good as far as biotech department is concerned bad thing in my opinion is internals since they decides ones grades not knowkedge so concentrate on internals besides subject.

Entrance Preview

Admission into this course was soley based on my intermediate marks(10+2). There is no necessary entrance test to write and get admission this college has had famous for bitechnology and has all the required infrastructure.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It is a 4year course in which first year one will learn common subjects like mathmatocs, basic computer knowledge etc from second year onward core subjects will be broght into action 3rd and 4th it deepens with research oriented classes and labs espesially 4th u will get more time to work in lab in your topic of interest with consistent help from lab incharge or any faculty.

Internships Opportunities

I spent all my time in campus one can go out for internship if they wanted to right from first year.

Placement Experience

4.5

Pretty good compared to other colleges offering this course there will be many core and noncore companies to offer you job.core companies like biotech, pharma, chemical reaction engineering etc, non core like information technology will be offering you job ever since one complete 3rd year so do not keep backlogs by the end of third year it can make yoy disqualified to attend the placements that will take place in campus.

College Events

5

Biotechcellence has been the highly celebrated festival interms of education, knowledge, entertainment for the students of this department.it happens in 3rd academic year of a batch.and it is a national level technical symposium and hence many students, asipirants from colleges all over India can attend this symposium.it is nothing but exchanging ideas.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many state and central government scholarships available one must be native of tamilnadu to avail state govt scholarships first of all if u want to avail a scholarship you should study and work hard to pass each semester without leaving any subjects behind .there are scholarships available sc, st students and to all other minorities and you will get financial from generous alumni so keep in touch with them through you seniors.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is very fine since we have many other things to do other than going to class, sit and listen we have central library contains different sorts of books besides academic books, nss, ncc etc every you will have a couple of cultural programs from different branches of the campus and you can participate in any of them with permission of faculty you can participate in sports and represent college in different sports and games students will be taken out to academic and informal tours.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel maintenance is pretty good but sometimes in rainy season some sanitaion problems occur at the hostel premises and rooms one has to maintain his/her room wifi fecility is also available one will like hostel food if she/he is a native tamil nadu if not it.

Alumni/Alumna

Since i am a just passed out guy i can not tell you that.they will get u registered in the alumni centre present in campus and every u will be invited to attend the functions, meatings and they will seek your suggestions and help to develop campus and your department.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.
