My Review

Positive- Very good place for students. A serious and calm place as per mood and season. Growth is inevitable. Negative- Room for improvement in curriculum and marking scheme. Indian education system should be improved.

The course curriculum of mechanical is decent with very basics included. There is enough room for evolvement. We have 100 marks divided in just 60 marks end semester and 20 marks mid semester exams. It's a 5 days journey each. Remaining 20 marks come from assignments and maybe a test depends on the teacher Incharge.

Placement in Mnnit is very good. Placement stats range from 94% of mechanical, 91% civil to 100% chemical engineering. Computer science too has 94%+ placement record. Average salary of mechanical is 8- 9lpa. Highest being 30lpa.

Avishkar (technical) Events related all engineering branches. Including gnosomania (biggest quizzing competition), Culruv (cultural) all events like dancing, fashion show, nukkad and gno talks with celebs and huge personalities, kavi sammelan etc, Mnnit quiz league, Annual athletics meet, Inter NIT meet. Renaissance (entrepreneurship fest) here young entrepreneur come to showcase their ideas and receive awards. Eloquence (literary fest) all literary events including Model United Nations and MIP.

Lowest of any NIT, IIT in the country. Around 1 lac per semester for general. If you are Sc/St category and/or under 5 lac family income you receive a scholarship and your fee is around 15k hence you are literally being paid to study. Mess fee is around 15k includes hostel.

I haven't availed any scholarships. They give scholarships according to categories like Sc/St. Less than 5 lac family income. Required certificates are to be presented. Top 5 students of every branch each year get a 13k scholarship as well.

All kinds of labs with working equipments are there. Except 1 or 2 in mechanical. All major sports are available. Our cricket team is best amongst inter NIT. We have been winning all sorts of inter college events ( with all round trophies).

Hostels are nice. I already mentioned about mess food. New hostels are being made whose construction will be over in coming months. Room are decent enough to stay. 24 hours electricity and water line is maintained. Water cooler are present for purified water. You can keep your own heater, induction etc too.

Alumni network is strong and growing. They give required help to clubs in college as per the request of students. Contact is easily available. A college alumni association is also present to whom anyone can approach. Annual alumni association meet is also held.

I had to secure a rank under under 10k in JEE- Mains exam. That is 1% or say 99 percentile (as per new criterion after 2017) Further you will receive a college among IITs, NITs, IIIts and Gftis during Josaa seat allocation, there you can fill MNNIT. MNNIT was the first college to introduce Computer science engineering in whole of India. The placement stats are also good.

I'll say they are Helpful faculties. If you are willing to grow in studies they are there for you. Otherwise I guess you'll not even take a chance to interact. But they'll know you as they are very experienced and interactive. You can also approach them for personal reasons.
