Remarks
The college management is not that good. precisely the accounts department of college is not good, they are not able to tell us the due fees, and they unnecessarily charge fines and when we ask them about the fine they inform us nothing all we have to do is pay the money and clear the due.
Course Curriculum Overview
We have four year(8 semesters) btech course. In each semester we deal with 5 technical subjects, that means total of 40 subjects by the end of course. In each subject we have theory classes as well as we have practical sessions also. The labs of OIST is very good as it has all the equipments thourough which we get practical knowledge also. The lab is very well furnished and it contains all the important instruments. We have labs for all the department's of btech. Infact the labs of oriental is best among the colleges of bhopal. In each semester we go for atleast one or two industrial visits which helps students to know what's happening in the cooprate world and what kind of work we do there.
Placement Experience
Most of the software companies come to our college and they will make you placed. Our parent recruiter is tcs.
College Events
Every year we celebrate a fest which is combination of both technical and cultural whose name is techacme. It is a 3 days event. We have ample of event in different fileds like in technical we have coding event, lan gaming, robotics, different workshops etc. We get to see stunt show also and at the last of fest we have dj night in which some celebrity come and we dance.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is bit expensive 78000 per year it used to be. But after the college NBA accreditation they have raised the fees and made 97000 per year. And 14000 for bus services. We can pay the fees thourough demand draft, chaalan, thourough paytm, or thourough sbi collect.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, the college provides scholarship for the students but it is only for the reserved category. Reserved category students get 25000? as a scholarship credited in their account. All they have to do is provide the documents. A general category student will not get any scholarship. and the college also provide scholarship for the student who top the semester exam.
Campus Life
The campus life is very good. Our campus has got a lusg green environment. They provide us with the workshops, seminars etc. The inter college competition also occur in sports. The ratio of boys and girl is 50-50 if you are CS, EC and IT department but as you go in AU, mech and civil the number of girls decreases.
Hostel Facilities
No I am localite. although our college has got good mess and hostel facility. It consists of rooms for single person double and triple also. The fees goes on decrease as the no of people increases. The hostel rooms are neat and clean and we are provided with all the necessary things it makes feel us like our home.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network of our college is very good. They organise alumni meet on a regular interval. The alumni come and talk to us they share their experiences with us. And we ask question from them also.
Admission
I want to work in PSU's as an engineer. I had given jee mains but my marks was not that good so I could not get admission in government colleges. I have done my schooling from bhopal so I here started searching the college also and I came to know that oriental group is best for technical higher education. so I opted this group for my studies. actually oriental group provides courses in mba, btech, pharmacy. so I opted oriental institute of science and technology bhopal for my btech course.
Faculty
The faculty of our college is very good in terms of knowledge. They are of very helping nature. most of the people are phd degree holders infact some of them are IITians too. daily we have 8 lectures and they provide us with the worksheets and assignments also. We have a online platform of oriental group where we can get the notes also.
