Entrance Preview

I wanted to study at Symbiosis in Pune. Appeared for my entrance exam for the same. My score was below the passed mark. After which the best college in mumbai was Jai Hind and Bhavans. Bhavans had my name in its very first list and hence chose to complete my BMM from there.

Internships Opportunities

We did not have an internship from the college. But usually if there is the stipend is somewhere between 7k to 10k. Bhavans college does not provide placements as frequently. Though after college i had got in a agency before my final results. As i was undergraduate unless I get my results, i was paid salary of Rs.6000/- per month, which is very low.

Placement Experience

1

As mentioned earlier though Bhavans has a placement cell, we never got to know about any companies coming in for offering job. I had to find a job on my own, searching for openings in the correct field.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is not very expensive. Its affordable by middle class section.Per year the fees was around Rs.50,000/- which means its around Rs.4000/- per month. Also, there is an Industrial visit in the second year.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm not very well aware about any scholarships provided by the college. The accounts of the colleges is held by Indian Bank. But I'm not sure if they provide special loan for Bhavans college.

Campus Life

3.5

Overall the college has great campus, one of the best and huge. The sports, drama facilities are great. Representing the college in fests in other colleges is great opporunity for students to get involved with other students.

Hostel Facilities

3

Bhavans college does not have its own hostel. The only hostel in the premises belongs to SP Jain. There are PGs available in the area around but they are quite expensive as its in Andheri. If you go towards malad and Goregaon, its easy to find sharing Pgs for Rs.5000 a month.

Exam Structure

The exam structure was not that hectic as in BMM its more about projects than writing. Therefore it was always fun under pressure with deadlines to meet.

Faculty

4.5

We had a bunch of great faculties that came from very reputed institutions. Majority lecturer panel had teachers as visiting faculty, which were best in their stream.

I will rate 6 out of 10 because the syllabus it has old information. The special aspect of the curriculum is about branding, strategy use to make strong brand in the market. The area for improvement in these curriculum is to provide student the proper software for technical or practical subjects. (like photoshop, indesign, etc.)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I want to be in the film industry. I want to become an actor. This course helps us to get aware of all the media industries. Be it films or television or even radio. Now, there are even more fields such as Public Relations and Event Management. There is an almost equal number of girls and boys. The faculty have industry experience and are well-spoken. They help us in each and every way possible. The use of presentations and modules is common. The learning process is fun and easy. The examinations are conducted in a semester pattern. There are a total of 6 semesters that are conducted on time. The syllabus covers a wide range of topics such as communication, films, photography, etc.

Placement Experience:

Form third year students become eligible for campus placement. Many reputed companies like times of India hindustan times visited our college and got various students selected based on their caliber. The average package here is a around 5-10 Lakh per annum. Only those students who are talented enough for any post get selected for particular job. I'm planning to do a internship in popular media House.
