Bishop Heber College is a religious minority educational institution established by the Tiruchirappalli - Thanjavur Diocese of the Church of South India. Its main objective is to cater for the higher educational needs of the members of the Church of South India and other Christians and specially to provide for them an educational atmosphere in keeping with the Christian ideals of the Church. The College, however, admits students of all faiths and religions and seeks to provide for them the best possible higher education

Bishop Heber College has its own process of entrance examination to select the students. I was undergone online test and face to face interview. I scored 82/100. I opt this college as it is best in trichy location.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is all about the teaching methodology in the higher education. Research methodology, Professional skill development, few selected topics in mathematics are the courses we are focused on.
Internships Opportunities
TCS, Deloitte, Vdart are the few companies who gave internship to the students and they are provided with stipend which includes their food, travel, stay expenses.
Placement Experience
70 out of 100 students were placed. Many companies came to hire students and TCS recruited 20, Deloitte with 50, Vdart with 30 Students. Their offers varies from 7000 to 35000 per month.
College Events
College day, Christmas celebration, Hostel day, Teachers day, Pongal Festival, Department functions are few celebrations we had in college. Students are engaged and highly motivated to participate in all events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure are feasible. For M.Sc they collect Rs.20000/year and for M.Phil they collect 19, 500/Years as Fees. which is feasible and low fees structure than any other college.
Fees and Financial Aid
Many scholarships are given away by college to the students. UGC also provide scholarship for many students according to their eligibility.
Campus Life
The college is highly equipped with all lab facilities like chemistry, physics, botany, zoology, microbiology and computer science lab where student learn practically.
Hostel Facilities
The college has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, and separate mess facilities. Foods are hygienic and charged around Rs.2000/month. Each room is shared by 3 Students which has cupboard and all other facilities.
Alumni/Alumna
The college has Alumni association in which it has established the networks among the alumni to grow professionally. Job opportunities are shared among the seniors & Juniors.
Exam Structure
The exam structure has two internal exams and one end semester in which 25% of internal and 75% of Semester examination is consolidated.
Faculty
The faculties are good experienced and many have passed in SET and NET Govt Examination. Many have done their doctorates in their core subjects. They have also published many papers in the International journals.
