Course Curriculum Overview
We have 1 midesem and 1 endsem per semester and some mini and minor quizzes there are also labs for practical understanding. As a UG i think we have taught to cover more syllabus in less time so for research we have to put extra efforts other than the course.
Placement Experience
No i will apply for internship in next year. But placement is very good in IIT kanpur. Average package is 10-12 lakh. And people get their dream jobs here.
College Events
There are lots of events. 3 festivals Udhgosh(sports),Antaragni (cultural)and Techkriti (technical)very popular in India. Different people come to participate. And there are also inter hall competitions like takneek,galaxy and josh in which various types of games are there and also quizzes. It is really lot of fun
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is feasible. As a government college fees is less than any other private colleges. Yearly it is approximately 2 lakh. And we have to pay monthly mess fees. Yes college provides full transparency in the fee-breakdown. Admission is secured as soon as you pay their yearly fees. No extra charges are required
Fees and Financial Aid
I applied for 2 scholarship but unfortunately i didn't receive any of them nor i get any response from institute.
Campus Life
Gender ratio is better than before,but still it is less. extracurriculars are very good. There are lots of opportunities in these. Like games,competition, clubs,music,dance etc. There are 3 festivals in a year which makes IIT kanpur better than others
Alumni/Alumna
Yes our college organises some visit to alumni.They are very helpful,they help in funding our projects and guide us.
Admission
I cleared JEE exam and my rank was 7000. First of all IIT Kanpur has very safe campus,excellent in academics. I had to submit all my documents in two steps. And also had to fill my preference for the college as well as for branch. IIT Kanpur is very rich in culture also. And there are so many other option to explore like robotics, aeromodelling etc
Faculty
There are different no. Of lectures for different course,but generally there are 3 lectures per week. Professors are excellent and also hardworking. They try to teach in very effective manner and also try to increase participation of students. Professors are very interactive in class as well as in personal also. They also clear our doubts time to time.
