Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is decent but the faculty could've made our subjects more interesting to learn and could've modified their teaching methodology. There are many many opportunities in the campus for one to grow and learn but our college culture wasn't oriented to focus on learning.
College Events
There were multiple fests organised in my college. Sports, cultural and technical fests were organised with participants from all over the country. Apart from these several online and offline events were also organised. Our students were sent to participate in the fests of other colleges as well.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee was feasible. There were scholarships offered to underprivileged students. Although mess food wasn't up to the mark and many hostels were old but that's alright. College did provide transparency in the fees breakdown and we knew about every penny we paid from our pockets.
Fees and Financial Aid
No I didn't. I knew some of my batchmates who availed scholarships from the college of more than 1 lakhs.
Campus Life
Gender ratio in mechanical branch was very bad for my batch. Although our juniors had many cute girls. I wish I were in computer science or IT branch which had the highest number of girls and the job opportunities were better than other branches too.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel seats were limited. Lived 3/4 years of b. Tech outside hostel in a 3bhk flat with 5 other people. Rent was 2500 per month and food costed around 2200 per month. College hostels weren't good anyways.
Alumni/Alumna
One alumni was helpful to fund our mechanical project and he also created a pool of funds from his network of alumnis for our project.
Admission
I cracked JEE Mains exam with all India rank of 16172. Then after we had a counselling process and on the basis of my rank and the kist of college I applied for, I was alloted NIT Raipur. The session usually starts in the month of July. Jee exams are held twice a year.
Faculty
We had 5-6 subjects each semester and approximately 30 lectures for each subject. Apart from these we also had practical labs where we could learn and implement our theoretical knowledge what we learnt in class. Some faculty teachers were really good while some weren't.
