College review

The management isn't good. Surely you'll feel helpless once.

The curriculum is a bizarre. Galgotias has multiple specialization courses such as cloud computing, buisness analytics etc. but the teaching schedule is extremely bad. Their design and process to teach is really worse. I've almost completed my 4 years at Galgotias as a computer science student and I haven't studied compiler design. It's like one of the most important subjects in a computer science stream. The plan they have for teaching you is completely a hoax.

The only thing which is good in galgotias is not it's infrastructure, not it's faculty, not it's fests but it's placements. The placements are excellent in the college. Galgotias has a long chain of connection with the IT and NON IT companies. You'll witness atleast 300-350 companies visiting your campus which excludes the off campus placements. You will have a huge amount of choice when you will be sitting for in campus placements. You've studied and want to opt a technical corporate life, you'll get an it company to choose. You haven't studied all 4 years and want to opt a non technical (marketing) company, you'll again have a lot of choices.

The events celebrated in galgotias are never worthit. You have the Unifest as the only annual fest which I've seen being cancelled two times in 4 years. Other is the freshers which is not that bad, but also not that good. Rest are the events which happens stream wise. So you'll sit like a dumb and watch other people participate in the event which sometimes doesn't even feel like an event.

Fee Structure feels feasible in the starting as compared to other colleges. But as soon as you spend some time in college you'll feel even this much is expensive. You never get Air conditioners in classes or labs. This is the only University I've seen which doesn't provides a Wi-Fi. You want to conduct an event, you'll have to spend it from your pocket. You want to participate in an event, you'll have to pay yourself. It's just crap

The students who ranked in the top 1000 in GEEE get a scholarship of 35%. Also the students who have a merit of 93% or above in the 12th marks get a scholarship of 35% in the tuition fees. But these scholarships are only for the first year. If you want to continue it then you'll have to maintain a 9+ CGPA and 80% + attendance during the semesters.

The gender ratio is good. You'll get to see equal amount of both the genders in the college. Not in the class obviously. Extracurricular activities is like a sin in galgotias. You play sports, or participate in plays etc. then you'll have to handle the attendance and academics yourself. These people never help you

Personally I had my seniors as friends but no alumni. But seniors always give you those advices which you'll never get to know by any of the faculties or officials of the college. The advices given by my seniors was duly important which helped me in surviving in galgotias

The entrance process is pretty simple. I just went to the college, submitted my documents like 10th marksheet, result of 12 and had my councelling where I chose computer science. And I got the admission in like 1 hour. In councelling you get to choose the stream based on your marks. Generally you get computer science in galgotias if you have scored well in galgotias entrance examination or have an aggregate of 80+% in 12th

The faculties are fine. Not all of them but few faculties are extremely good. They'll teach you, correct you and they'll guide you further what to do. They'll mostly ask you to make research papers and please publish them by your name otherwise you'll see your research paper with your facultie's name in IEEE.
