Remarks

The management was strict with people acting their own and hurting students physically or emotionally. People who couldn't pay fees were reprimanded. People who couldn't pass in tests were admonished and overall money played a key role in determining who should be pampered. So no good opinions about this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

To be honest, the course curriculum was not good for industrial exposure. Learning stuff that they taught you on books is inadequate for you to get placed in companies. Campus placements were minimal with only IT companies present with a few BPOs. So yeah, the scene was quite miserable. The staff of the department were only concerned with finishing the syllabus rather than taking us on IVs or any plants for visits.

Placement Experience

0.5

As said before, the scene of placement is very bad. No drives thouroughout the year. Only IT companies would appear even for core branches. BPOs would mass recruit and then terminate them upon wish. 6/55 students were placed in BPOs in my year and the management didn't care in the least for the rest. So, recruiters conducted an aptitude test followed by a general topic discussion and then finally had an F2F interview and that was pretty much it. You'd get a call next day asking to join at once and then calls regularly thouroughout the week to join else pay will be reduced.

College Events

2

No symposiums. Only lectures by former alumni and no conferences for students- only paid lectures by graduates in high positions. They practically didn't approve of any events as they thought it wpuld hinder the students' concentration from studies and tests which wre conducted every single day once in the morning and once in the evening.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure was quite ok, manageable at 1LPA, for 4 years. The hostel charges were also separate which amounted to around 60-75k per year. Management quota students had to pay more around 1.5-2LPA for 4 years in donation as well as for fees. Books had to be paid for separately and several times additional stuff had to be paid for like: lab coats, stationery, xeroxes etc etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

I had not opted for scholarships because there weren't any. Scholarships were given to BC/MBC, muslim minority and SC/ST students at around 12000Rs per year being deducted from the fees. Just simply head to the office admin and ger a form for the scholarship, fill it up and submit it to avail the benefits.

Campus Life

1.5

The ratio was 30 boys and 25 girls in our class. There's no gender disparity. But there were no transgender, openly gay students or anyone from the LGBTQQIA+ community due to intolerance i suppose. It's a telugu minority institution and hence the absence of such communities would be understood explicitly.

Hostel Facilities

2

No because, i came from home. The hostel conditions were actually quite bad with more than 3-4 people in a single room. They had to bathe on the terraces at times and due to too many students around 100-400, sewage systems were not that adequate and kept leaking. Maintenance was quite poor.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni were inconsiderate of us and actually catered no help. So one wouldn't expect much from them because they were more concerned with clearing their grades and getting out to the search for jobs. So yeah, alumni interaction was much less and not that helpful.

Admission

So basically the entrance into this college is quite easy as it is based on the cut-off marks of your 12th board exams. If you get a good score, you attend counseling at Anna university, chennai and then select yoir desired college you want to attend along with the course you desire. Apart from that, management quota is also present wherein you pay loads of money as donation and get a seat in the same merit list batch.

Faculty

3

The lessons were taught well in the native language tamil. In terms of teaching north side students or non tamil speakers the teaching was sub par. The staff never spoke english and also they were more syllabus oriented rather than teaching out of the box topics. Electives for subjects were decided by the staff themselves rather than the students deciding it. The staff were only qualified with Masters degrees and even the Head of the Department had only a Masters degree from the same college. No PhDs in sight. So you can guess the way of teaching. There were only 10 lecturers with the oldest being 54 and the youngest being 28. And all of them had graduated from the same college they are teaching in.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.
