Skit college review

Skit provides a great and technical environment for all the branches. It has all the sources by which you can enhance your skills and get what ever you want. The management is helpful to students they work on our complaints and keep it all together.

The course is really relevant to the branches. The curriculum somehow lag in the updation. Skit conducts industrial workshops, different hackathon, and seminars to lead the way of students to be a well groomed and industry specific person. We get knowledge in the classroom as well as out side the classroom by the extra curriculum activities provided by college. These things really help us to enhance our skill set.

The placement is really good in our college. More then 100 companies like Infosys, tcs, capgemini, oracal, wipro,byjus come for the placement drive in the campus. There is a minimun percentage criteria fixed by companies,students who full fill that goes in technical round and selected students in the hour personal interview round. College starts the spacial placement training program for students atleat 1.5 year before the company drive. 80 percent of students get placed in the campus placement drive.

Our college organizes both technical and non technical events. In terms of technical events there is hackathons in which students all over the state participate, seminars in which speakers all over the globe come and share their views, workshops are there for students and as well as for the faculty. In terms of non technical events there are events for every kind like sports,singing,dancing,drama,acting,social work etc. Our college has a annual fest called pravha. It is 7 day long event in which so many technical and non technical events are organized by students with the help of faculty.

Fees is slightly expensive if we sum all the things like education,hostel and convence. The education fee is around 75000 for a year. Check,dd or online fee transaction is accepted. There is no additional fee to secure admission but after getting your name in the merit list at the time of Counselling you have to deposit some amount of fees. The fee structure is transparent to all.

College provied two type of scholarships one on the base of jee main score for selected students in which they get concession in the college fees and their fees almost get around 7000 only and second for the students who are in need and have a good academic score in which they get help of around 30000-40000 rs.

Campus life is ok,no ragging and freedom. There is much more boys then the girls. College have some clubs for extra curriculum activities in which students can participate. There is no such thing as parties in skit in happes only once in pravha week.

No i have not opted for hostel. But my friends opted for hostel they says that the rooms are good, there is 2-3 girls in a room and hostel includes mess, laundry and wifi services. There is so many pg's also they also have sharing between 2 girls and some of them includes mess and some don't. Rent is around 80000-90000 per annum.

The seniors are really helpful. There is no ragging at all. They guide there juniors. There are some clubs running by the seniors both technical and non technical to provide the skills that they have to the Juniors. College helds some events in which the alumnis come and shere there experiences and achievements with us.

I took admission by reap counseling. In this according to the merit list you get the admission. Merit list is based on the jee mains marks and board percentage. I choose skit because it is ranked as no 1 engineering college by rtu and also the placement records are amazing. I visited the campus and it has a perfect green and ragging free campus. I opt for b.tech in computer science becuse i have intrest in the feild of computers and want to pursue my career in this.

In cs we have about 5-6 lecture hours in which labs are included. Each subject has there own department in which they have highly qualified and experienced teachers. Teachers at the head of department post mostly have PhD and great experience in their respective fields. Other teachers also have high qualifications and skill set in their subjects and they are really helpful.
