College life is good, hostel culture is even better in the iit, if they make some changes in the academic field then my college will be the best.
Course Curriculum Overview
Very few of us got interested in the research field. Our college dont give us the motivation usually to do some research. Our courses are only like to pass I think. They dont help us in any way to make us better professionals. But if you have good knowledge about your courses or projects it'll secure you good placement or internship
Placement Experience
Placmenets are very good in our college. Any one of the big companies of which you have ever heard of will come in our college for placements and internships. Internships are also the paid ones and they also pay in good sum.
College Events
We have 1 cultural fest named Rendezvous, 1 technical fest named Tryst, 1 fest for the freshers Speranza. These are the main fests that our college organize. The cultural fest of iit delhi is one of the biggest fest that happens in delhi. The footfall of that fest is approx 50000. Footfall of tryst is approximately 20000. Speranza is college only fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees structure is quite expensive in my college. It is a government education institution. So i think the fees has to be lot less then what it is now. The college give scholarship to the sc/st students irrespective of if they are rich or not. Most of the students in my college of sc/st castes are very rich they dont deserve this scholarship. But we do.
Fees and Financial Aid
I availed student loan, it was quite easy as we have a branch of sbi in our campus only. The loan also passed very easily and very fastly as we are the students of iit.
Campus Life
Campus life is quite good in iit. If we talk about gender ratio it is now changing so it's good, earlier the gender ratio was 1:10 which was very bad. Sports and competion culture is very good. College and hostel politics is quite bad in the iit as sometimes students fight over it. In iit it doesn't depend whether you are from different race, religion or if you look different.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I live in the hostel. Our hostel rooms are not in quite good conditions but you can live in it easily. I'm in my 4th year so I have my separate room. But in 2nd year you have to share a very small room with other students.
Alumni/Alumna
If you talk about in terms of jobs and internships they are not as useful but if you talk about sharing their experiences and giving help in any other matter they are quite helpful.
Admission
I got admission in the college by giving the entrance exam named JEE Advance. This exam happens in May. First you have to qualify in the Jee Mains exam then only you can give the advance exam by which you can get the iit's. By jee Mains you can get the state colleges or Nit's only but not the iit.
Faculty
The faculty is very knowledgeable, but most of them don't know about how to teach the group of students as it is two very different things. If you do projects under them most of them are very good and very helpful but in teaching they are not so good.
