Overview of NIT Raipur

Everything is good in my college except for a few seniors and faculty. But overall, we can't consider this as a bad thing as this kind of diversity is found everywhere. Clubs are an essential part of the development of various skills of students and these clubs are very good here.

Academics are quite amazing. College is really excellent and having a good timetable for various theory as well as practical classes. The course is decided as per the direction of MhourD and is much more than fair. Classes are conducted on time and the course is also completed as per schedule. Coming to exams, Tough is the word which can be used to describe it. Invigilation is strict and paper checking is really fair.

The placement of my College is quite appreciable. It is getting better every year. The median salary of this year was around 7LPA which is amazing and the placement percentage was also very good. Many of my seniors opted for higher studies but those who applied for jobs got placed with good packages. As I'm still in the first year, so I haven't got any opportunity to get an internship yet but my seniors have great experience of internship.

My college conducts many fests. Major fests are Samar, Eclectika, Aavartan, etc. accompanied by many one-day events. We enjoy a lot of infests. I love my college fests a lot. Special thanks to raaga and nrityam club for making these events much more memorable.

The fee Structure of my college is feasible. There are 3 criteria for fee payment. Those who are of the general category or obc and having an annual income of more than 5 lakhs INR are required to pay a complete fee. Students of the general and obc category having annual family income between 1-5 LPA are required to pay one-third of total fees which is a matter of great relief for such middle-class families. Students of the general and obc category having an annual income of less than 1 LPA or SC, ST category are charged 0 rs as a fee.

I opted for a scholarship as my family's annual income lies between 1-5 LPA. So, I got a fee remission of 2/3 of the total fee. For this, I submitted my father's annual income certificate issued by the state government office.

Campus Life is so good that it can't be expressed in words. Never-ending fun, canteen, juice corner, etc. Nothing can match the fun of college life. Although there are few girls in my batch, all of them are very friendly and cooperative. My college is one of the best for extracurricular activities. Clubs and committees are very good. Especially, the Robotics club is my favorite.

No, as the hostel is provided to the top 25% of students and unfortunately I was not among them, so I didn't get the hostel but every year, it is provided on the basis of CPI, so I'll definitely get the hostel in the upcoming year.

Seniors are very cooperative and we juniors have regular interaction with them. They help a lot in every aspect. Seniors help us a lot in our academics as well as committees activity. Alumni of our college are a great part of our college. They play a very important role in the development of college and students.

I got admission to this college by qualifying for JEE Mains 2019 and securing a rank worth getting admission. I always wanted to get my B. Tech degree from a reputed college and NIT is like dream come true. After getting my all-India rank, I went for counseling on the JOSAA website and chose the colleges and stream I wished to get enrolled in. After counseling, I got admission to college.

On average, every theory class has 3 periods, except maths which has 4 periods in a week. Also, there are 2 periods for practicals of each subject in a week. Also, 4 periods are given to workshop for better learning of practicals of basic engineering skills. All the faculties hold a good degree as well as teaching experience.
