Remarks

The management is quite strict about academics and any sort of dishonesty is not tolerated (even if you copy slightest of thing from assignment, they have advanced technologies to detect the plagiarism) and straight away an F grade is given (which is Fail in that course). But this helps us doing things on our own and learning a lot. The research culture is very good here. Btech students from first year starts contributing to it.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

It is research-driven and everything is related to what industry is asking for nowadays. The curriculum is so flexible that an ECE student can take CSE course and vice-versa. The courses for first semester is changed last year as it is required and it is a quality that very few colleges have. Many college are still using the old curriculum that they used probably 10 or 20 years back.

Placement Experience

5

The placement is very good and increasing like anything in last 3 years. It has risen from 10 LPA to 17.62 LPA in last 3 years. The internship is also good and most of the top companies like Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Adobe, Expedia, etc. hire interns and full time both during placement season.

College Events

3.5

Esya - Technical Fest The best of students come here to participate in hackathons, Robowars (the best event), different competitive programming events and a lot of talks related to tech. This is one of the best place for any technical guy who loves to explore. Odyssey - Cultural Fest It's a typical cultural fest that includes a lot of singing/dancing/street-play/modelling events and a star night. TedX-IIITD - It's a TedX event and self explanatory.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's expensive but when you keep in mind that it is a Govt institute but on PPP model (that is it runs only on the fees of students) then it's understandable for the infrastructure and quality of education it provides. The placement here is quite good so it won't take you much of a time to recover it

Fees and Financial Aid

College provides the Delhi Govt scholarship to financially weak students. Also a lot of students here take the loan and study and plan to pay it when they pass out.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is good. Very few college doesn't have curfew timings and IIITD is one of them. Labs, Gym and all Sports facilities are 24×7 open. The clubs here are very good and you get a good exposure if you can maintain the academic pressure and extracurricular here. Competitive Programming club is one of the best in India. Hanit Banga (India's highest rated on Codeforces) is one of its member.

Hostel Facilities

4

Yes, the rooms are very good. Toilets are cleaned daily and rooms have ACs which also work as heaters during winters. The rooms are well furnished and is worth the fees we pay for it. A study table and almirah is given to every student along with a single bed.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are really helpful and they are always there for advice or a talk. Even when you enter the college, the management assigns you a 3rd/4th year student as mentor whom you can discuss anything and this really helps a lot during initial days.

Admission

Gave JEE Mains. Followed the timeline and guidelines of JAC-Delhi. You need to fill in the details they ask you for. Pay Rs.1000 as registration fee and fill the preference list. If you get any seat in any round, then you need to go for document verification and paying the rest of the fees.

Faculty

5

Faculty is really good. Their teaching is best and the assignments and labs are really helpful in understanding of the course. This allows us to learn a bit more than what students are learning at other universities. The faculty also invites Btech students to work on a research project with other senior students like Mtechs and PhDs.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
