College Review

The college needs to improve its study, placement records, grooming students for placement, better labs.

The teachers in my institution are very hardworking and they try to give their best, we have 3 sessional's as part of our exam structure which is well organized to give a full feel, It lags in its well-defined labs and more on practical knowledge, we even have classes on enhancing our soft skills but it lags in giving more practical knowledge.

The placement records are not too great, the average placement is about 4 lakhs, more marketing companies come initially but if we talk about aktu it tries to bring giant tech companies like Amazon, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini. Our college conducts soft skills enhancement and aptitude classes for the 3rd and 4th years.

Many technical, Cultural and Management fests happen, our annual techno-cultural fest Utkarsh,Utgam is one of the biggest fests and they try to involve participants from all over India, Colleges such as IIT IIM participate we have DJ nights star Nights and many more concerts.

The State provides a scholarship in which we don't have to pay our fees on the basis of our merit, My college also provides us scholarships on the basis of merit and family's income in which the student doesn't have to pay the fees the only drawback is that the form needs to be filled every year.

Many workshops take place every month, We are not provided with freshers or farewells, There are many societies depending on a student's interest, Our campus is an anti-ragging campus, Our campus conducts competition but only during fests, there are no issues regarding caste, gender.

No, I have not opted for a hostel, but the hostel rooms are very small, the quality of food is bad, there are 2 seaters,3 seater and single occupancy rooms available, the cost of the hostel is a bit high, but a full safety of girls is ensured.

Seniors are very interactive and they try to help us whenever we are in need, they tell us how we should prepare ourselves for placements.

I got the admission through State Entrance Examination which usually happens in April, after my result I had to fill the preference of the colleges that I want and as a result, I got to this college, the process was very smooth, based on my merit I even got a scholarship, I chose this college because it was in my home state and it is one of the best colleges know.

All our teachers our M.tech and try to give their best shot, an average of 50hours of lectures are allotted for each subject, Some of the teachers try to groom us for our higher studies but some are least interested, teachers should focus to groom us for industry rather than just theoretical knowledge.
