Management is good as the faculty themselves are students of IITs.

Petroleum engineering consists of Reservoir Engineering, Drilling Engineering and Production engineering. We have two examinations in one semester i.e mid semester examinations and end semester examinations. Research is also done in Petroleum engineering field mainly in Drilling Muds or Drilling Fluids. All Students have to do one compulsory project under any Faculty of the Petroleum Department. Thus apart from academics students also have research background.

The previous year placement was quite good.ONGC,essar oil,torrent gas,wipro,adani were the major companies which came for the recruitment of Petroleum engineers. Internships are Mainly provided by ONGC,essar oil,cairn india.

College organises thouree fests: 1) Energia which is the sports fest of Rajiv Gandhi institute of Petroleum Technology in which many other colleges from the neighbouring cities come and play sports like basketball, volleyball, cricket, badminton, table tennis and many more. 2) kaltarang which is the cultural fest of Rajiv Gandhi institute of Petroleum Technology. It consists of Drama, street play,painting,dancing,wall painting, fashion show,short drama,singing and many more. 3) urjotsav which is the Tech fest of Rajiv Gandhi institute of Petroleum Technology. It mainly consists of technical events like robot racing,car racing,workshops,conferences,seminars and many more.

Fees for the Petroleum Engineering consists of Tution fees,mess charges and hostel charges. Mode of payment can be demand draft,netbanking,cash challan. There is no additional fees as the college is of national importance. College provide a complete transparency in the fee breakdown.

College provide scholarship for the students who have more than 80 percent college circulates a form for the scholarship and students who have more than 80 percent can apply and get it.

Campus life is good as Rajiv Gandhi institute of Petroleum Technology is a college of national importance and students who are studying here have qualified IIT JEE ADVANCE, one of the Toughest Engineering entrance. Gender ratio is not so good as girls dont take Petroleum Engineering much. Students studying here are broad minded thus there is no conflict over caste, religion, gender.

Yes. Hostel is compulsory. Hostels rooma are quite better than many other government colleges.There are two students sharing one room. Mess food quality is also good as they change the contract every year.
