The college of my dreams

The positive side of the college is that the students enjoy absolute freedom. I doubt that there is any college in kochi that has as much campus area as my college. The campus is beautiful and green with many ammenities like cricket ground, outdoor gym, basketball ajd volleyball court. A bad remark of the college is the lack of placement opportunities

St pauls college is affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi (MG)university. They follow the same pattern of examination as MGU. 80 % of our marks are from writing the final end semester examination. 20 % marks are internal marks which the teacher awards us based in attendance, project, assignment and participation in class.

The placement options are very poor. Only the academically excellent students are qualified for placements. The companies that come for placements are oyo rooms, EY, KPMG etc.

The college conducts many programs like arts day, college day, union day, onam, chouristmas, sports day and our inter collegiate fest MESHUGAH. The college conducts inter departmental sports fest and art events. It is usually the elected representatives of the union that organizes and conducts the events rather than the management.

It depends on whether you get ur admission on merit or not. For self financing students the fee may go upto 25k annualy and for merit students the fee is only 5k annualy. There is an addition charge levied for exam fees, industrial visits and any events conducted for the department.

There is a scholorship program available for economically backward students and for the students who are coming from a minority community.

The gender ratio seams more or less like 1:1. The college conducts many programs like arts day, college day, union day, onam, chouristmas, sports day and our inter collegiate fest MESHUGAH. The college conducts departmental debates and quizes occasionally.

The alumni network are very helpful and friendly. They usually come to college to clear of their supplementary exams.

I had pretty descent marks in 12th of 91 %. I applied for admission in M.G university website soon after the results of 12th were published. To my surprise i got admission in St.Pauls college. I was informed via email for an interview and got admission instantly.

The faculty for B.Com are M.com graduates. Most of the faculties of the college are young females with average age around 30. The faculties take class in Malayalam the regional language. The teachers are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They are masters in clearing last minute doubts and they can be approached via a phonecall.
