College review

It's overall a very good institution. Some institutions may not join students who have educational gaps after their 12 th standards. But here, there is no issues on that. When we show a little interest, the staffs are always ready to support us till the end.

The curriculum is easier than Anna University and you can get pass if you perform well in internals as you get 50% score from your performance in internal exams. Also here then and there you will be assigned with project as a part of the curriculum. You have lab with miniprojects, theory with project, community service project and in final year you will have to do a project and published your work in a reputed journal.

Placements are 100% Core companies are very few but other than the rest are not note worthy. We are the second batch to pass out. CHC Healthwatch, lead Pro, Sutherland, HCL technologies, Butterfly, Toppr, etc are some of the companies that do visit our College. Apart from that we also attend off campus drives and some of us have got placed in Zifo Rnd solutions, Capegemini, etc.

Inauguration, freshman induction programme, symposium, cultural feasts, etc. But needs improvement in each and every events in the way how it is organised. Some external participants from different states of the country make their presence in such events. But still some of the external participants are quiet unhappy in the way they are treated inside the campus due to several rules and restrictions imposed as per our College norms. Otherwise the functions are conducted periodically. But no Pongal celebration, teacher's day celebration, children's day celebration, etc are there

The Fee is 100000 for us but it is raised by 10000 year after year. They may get exam fee which is upto 3000 and internet fee which is 1100 and miscellaneous fee qhich is 5000-10000 depending upon your year of study. Also they impose breakage charges upto 50-100 and only if it's paid they will provide hall ticket by clearing the no dues. But above all they give scholarship based on your performance in academics. You can get upto 50000 fee concession if you have a CGPA of 9 and above.

Yes in our College we have chairman scholarship, KEEE entrance based scholarship, first graduate scholarship, Merit scholarship based on CGPA. I have got merit scholarship in that every year and chairman scholarship once. The merit scholarship givea 10% fee concession for CGPA 8 to 8.49, 25% for CGPA 8.5 to 9 and for 9 and above 50%.

In our department, the girl's strength is more. 60 % are girls and 50 % are boys. Only few Students participate in external competition when it comes to extra-curricular fields but in co-curricular fields our students have an active participation every time and even get cash prize rewards for that. No ragging in our department.

No. The hostel rooms are neat and clean well furnished with cupboards, cot and other facilities. Hostel fee is upto 60000 per year. The food is somewhat ok. Sometimes the students face water scarcity problems with no water for bathing in the morning. The drinking water is good.

Yes our seniors are always helpful and they guide us in making the right decision of choosing a good company. They are working in reputed companies like Zifo, Thyearocare, etc. They always support us and help us prepare ourselves for the interviews and also they give us prompt solutions whenever we face any problems either we need a psychological/ educational help whatever it may be, they are always ready to help us.

I saw the advertisement of the college thourough newspaper. The biomedical engineering course attacted me and that's how I got interest in Kalasalingam. Also they will take you for admission even if you're late for 2 months or more. The yearly fee is 1 lakh and now it is raised by 10000-20000 extra.

Staffs in our department are young and dynamic. The staffs are well versed in various disciplines like Matlab, embedded systems, MEMS, rehabilitation engineering, neural engineering and so on. They train you in a right way and may you do your project by yourself and get knowledge out of it
