Course Curriculum Overview
More than focusing on the placement after the degree,the courses aim at developing skills to do science or for that matter any other degree. The early exposure to labs makes a student competent enough to learn skills and apply them to ongoing research and publish research papers.
Placement Experience
We get to do lots of internship (both summer as well as winter). Very few say about 5-6 students per batch opt for placements. Others go for PhD or any other competitive exams.
College Events
Many cultural events including the fest Karvaan(A thouree day fest). Talks on ongoing research topics are organised evey week. Hindi diwas is celebrated evey year. Every club organizes events across the whole duration of the semester. Bands and celebrities come to perform during the fest and the whole event is organised by students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Very feasible fee structure.it is very cheap. There is a complete transparency in the fee breakdown. The payments are generally made thourough SBI collect with many payment options available. We have to pay 7000 security money during the admission which is refundable.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am a KVPY Scholar.One can get this fellowship thourough competitive exam. Monthly fellowship of 5000 plus 20000 contingency.
Campus Life
A wide range of extracurricular activities take place in the campus across whole semester. There are many clubs to facilitate these. We have a inter IISER sports meet every year. Debates and quizzes takes place during the entire semester duration organised by all the club's.
Hostel Facilities
Yes.2 person sharing rooms in hostels.There are in total 3 hostels. One is for BS-MS boys,the other for PhD boys and the third one is for girls of both BS-MS and PhD stream. IISER Pune has one of the best hostels in India.

Wide alumni network across whole world. Our seniors are literally in every top universities in the world. They help us if needed.
Admission
I qualified the KVPY entrance exam.So I was qualified to apply for a seat in the college. I applied but I got IISER Kolkata and then in the next round I got IISER Pune thourough the float option. Admission takes place in July and the semester begins from August.
Faculty
Each course has one main coordinator and may have one or more faculty for some specific part of the course. The assessment of the exams are mostly done by the T.A. They are mostly the PhD student from the same college. All the faculties are excellent researchers as well as teachers. Most of them have their PhD from foriegn University.
