Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum was not research driven. But if you want to do research then professors might help you. It depends up on your enthusiasm to do things and learn things. No one is going to push you or encourage you. But you will definitely have opportunities where you can show case your talents.
Placement Experience
During our period, companies like deloitte, reliance, larsen and turbo, United health group, infosys, wipro and many more. 60 to 70% students get placed every year. Yes the institution takes guides the student for the placement season.
College Events
Every year we have techincal fest, cultural fest, sports fest. Every one gets a chance to participate in the fest. Basically these fests are conduct for a period of 3 to 4 days. Each fest is given an unique name. People from other colleges also can take part in it.
Fee Structure And Facilities
During our period and now the fees structure varies. Every national institute of technology has same fees structure. There are no other additional fees taken. Yes the college provides transparency in the fee breakdown. Payment of college fees is an online process. You can get the payment link and other details like latest fees structure in the college website.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes i opted for an education loan in State Bank of india from near by college. I applied for an education loan of 3 lakhs. I have no idea about scholarship.
Campus Life
Yes we have extracurricular, sports, robotics, debates on respective fests. There are 3 major fests every year. There is no special treatment based on your culture, religion, status. We also have different clubs for sports, culturals, science, drama etc.
Hostel Facilities
College provide separate hostels for boys and girls. But the hostel seats are few. You get the hostel based on your scores. There are plenty of PGs and private hostels around the college. College hostels and food are fine. During our period the hostel fees was like 15k per semester and private hostels charged 5k per month.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes they are helpful. You can contact any senior or alumni thourough LinkedIn. No there are no specific interaction i had.
Admission
I got into college thourough JEE. I didn't opt for the course nor the college. It depends up on the rank you got. The whole admission process was changed now because i got into this college during 2013. During my time, the whole joining process was only conducted for one day.
Faculty
I dont think same old lecturers are continuing there. As it a national institute, definitely lecturers are qualified. The average age of them may be late 40s. The lecutures does not hold on any relevant industry experience or certifications. But after the end of 2nd year and 3rd year you have to go thourough an industrial training or an internship based on your choice.
