Entrance Preview

Like normal student like my fellow friends i opted for this course. After our higher secondary based on marks scored the college laid out their requirements, if met one can get admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum was decent like any other college. Our college followed calcutta university. It was vast and it helped to strengthen our skills.

Internships Opportunities

We have no such thing although i have pursued post graduation later that year. There i worked for reliance for internship.

Placement Experience

Not in graduation college. From post graduation college i earned my placement in KPMG bangalore.In kolkata there are very few college who offer such thing as placements.the colleges need to be aware of these things so are the students for being placed. I would like the students to be aware of such fake placement hopes the colleges offer while getting admitted to any colleges.

College Events

We had events and other picnics and small events that are followed on all colleges in kolkata. Freshers event, farewell to the seniors, , puja ceremony, CSR activities. Etc etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our college and any other college under c.u charge very less fee as to make it affordable to all criteria of students studying there.

Campus Life

It was average not over my expectation it was a government college not a private one that you can expect these things. We had small competition on cricket and football.

Hostel Facilities

We did not have that since we lived close by. However we had college canteen which was very shabby and unkempt.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Be aware think thrice before you make decisions of your life.Be smart studying in good and reputed college dnt make you a better person or candidate for an organization..

Exam Structure

Exam structured like any other college under c.u. We had plenty of time for fun and relaxment and study time. We had study leave to prepare ourself.

Faculty was good. But the ambience was not that well so may students bunked and blamed faculty for not taking appropriate steps.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
