Remarks

Everything is good. Nothing new to add. Feels great to be a part of this community and this noble profesion.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I am currently pursuing MBBS. The curriculum is strictly guided by MCI. In government colleges like us, fees is 4500 per semester. In this curriculum, we are taught about various basic medical subjects like ent, ophthalmology, general surgery, general medicine, paediatrics, gynaecology and obstetrics.

Placement Experience

4.5

We have to do internship after passing final year in the same college. During this period we are posted in different wards and we have to give duty like professional doctors. The main motto of this is to give raw hand experience of our profession. In the whole course curriculum, this is the most fruitful year as we learn a hell lot of this. From bedside clinics to perform minor surgeries, we learn a lot from this year.

College Events

4.5

Our college fest RHAPSODY is the biggest medical college fest of Eastern india. Apart from this, cultural program is held during fresher's welcome, annual sports meet. Aesculapia is a medical seminar organised by the students of our college. In Rhapsody, various colleges participate in different events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Quite feasible. 4500 per semester. As because it's a government college. Whereas in any otger private medical college, it would have been some lakhs per semester. The academic fees have to be paid in cash in the college office. Just during the time of admission, we had to give 6500 which included the fees of first semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. I've opted for nothing. The college itself does not grant any scholarship. but ther are many private companies offering them under specific T&C.

Campus Life

3.5

Boys : Girls = 4:1. Inspite of boys are more in number, both the sexes get equal opportunities to prove themselves in every aspect possible. There's no gender bias prevalent in this field. We all work together as a unit to provide good health service to the community.

Hostel Facilities

4

No. I cannot opt as hostels are alloted to those who live more than 15km from college. Based on how far he/she lives, hostels are alloted accordingly. there are 4boys hostels and one girls hostel. But i am thinking to take a hostel during internship days as returning home will be very difficult

Alumni/Alumna

From the very first day, seniors have stepped up to make the college environment comfortable for us. From the admission procedure to what to study more during exams, they have helped a lot. Even after passing out, they help us in every way they can when we ask for.

Admission

From the very childhood, i had a dream to become a doctor. In class 11 and 12 worked really hard, days and nights to crack WBJEE in the year 2016. Based on my rank 233, i was found eligible to take admission in Medical College Kolkata. The counselling process was totally online.

Faculty

4.5

Every faculty members of every department are experienced doctors who train us so that we can provide health care in future. For us, more tgan theoretical knowledge, we have to learn practical application. That is medical science. How to integrate theoretical knowledge with practice is what taught by our respected proffesors.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is completely based on NMC new guidelines. Along with the theory classes where we know the structure and their working in dissection we actually see them on cadaver . Lectures should be more interesting as it's get boring to literally listen the concepts for first time like a story and at the end we forget everything

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical field is a really good field in my opinion to serve humankind and learn about science of nature and life!the curriculum is a little overpaced and there are 19 subjects which are taught in a timespan of 4.5 years which is a bit hectic! There are 4 professional exams and 9 semesters which have pretty good difficulty and assess our skills and education. We have regular examinations in around 4-5 months each. Only thing id like to change in the curriculum is better assessment of many topics which are taught pretty well but aren't examined much leading us to waste our time in focussing on them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, mbbs is very hard and long term process. You will be bored in 1st year because you cant get real clinical cases. But in Final year, 3rd Prof Part 2, you will get huge pressure. Because there are total 11 subjects, you should study in final year. It is a great burden for all. I'm not satisfied with Nmc curriculum. They are not thinking about students. They are implement their rules in chilled ac room. But they don't know the real scenarios.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite planned and great and has a lot of advantages in having a clinical and learning diagnostic approach to various diseases. One area where the curriculum can improve is by having more practical classes rather than theoretical classes. The exams are quite difficult but are quite planned to make you understand the clinician and the passing percentage is 50 percent.
