MCM College Chandigarh, Review

Management is good, if you are willing to study they will fully support you but no good placements at all

2 type of exams are conducted in every semester one is internal other is final/ external exam in addition to this assignments are also collected but everything is theory and mostly from text books. It gave me good insight from marketing theory but no practical knowledge

I gave alot of interviews for job but most the companies were for call centre, sales etc but not really good profile.

All most all the major festivals are celebrated, annual fests, farewell, freshers, inter college competition and alot of open mics in different categories. Some of the clubs like rotract etc are also there. Most of the celebrations include fashion show and punjabi culture dance.you are free to sing in the ground outside.

No just the form fees and yearly fees. Yearly fee has to be paid semester wise which twice in year. Each semester is of 6 month my fees was 28000 per semester. I paid in cash it can also be paid thourough cheque. Whereas for hostel you can pay in one go or in parts

No I didn't opted for scholarship. I took admission on merit basis. But MCM have reserved seats in multiple categories

It is girls college, there were opportunities for singing and dancing but mcm is known for its fashion statement in whole punjab. Though if you are into drama singing and dancing you will get acknowledged but you have to actively participate. Most of them get acknowledged because of their subject they chose.

Hostels room are in sharing and of average quality. Same type of room for everyone. Food quality is fine. I stayed in pg and I recommend pg only as there are multiple options available just in front of college and average monthly rent is 7000 but you can choose higher or lesser range as per prefrence. Independent flats are also available near it

No, not much interaction with senior or alumni but teacher were helpful in most of the cases only if you are willing to put efforts

I wanted to pursue in management only so I assumed BBA was the best option as my final goal was MBA. Delhi university was my first option but as per my percentage (86%) i didn't get good college in delhi so my next option was pu so I chose MCM. You have to fill the entrance form last date of filling that form is available on website of mcm.

Teachers were expert in their subject. They mostly focus on text books and theory. If you need extra help they provide extra help if you go to them personally. Most of the teachers were studied from same college or PU so they knew the text books really well
