Entrance Preview
There is no entrance exam for this course, admission depends purely on merit basis. I opted for this college just because it is autonomous and it has a great campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
First two years 4 semister's don't have any electives. Last year 5th and 6th sem have electives between finance, marketing or HR. BMS covers all the topics which a management grad should know and can manage any business and increase productivity.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like kotak mahindra, toyota insurance, level 6 gymnasiums, etc have came in for internships in our college for first and second year students. There is no stipend for internships through our college or it is very less.
Placement Experience
Companies like kotak mahindra, level 6 gymnasiums, Toyota insurance, mukand, Schindler ltd., MBT, HDFC, etc have came in for campus placements for last year grads.They provide average packages worth ? 3-4 lacs per annum.
College Events
Kj somaiya college of Arts and Commerce has a inter-collegiate cultural Festival "HOONER", in which more than 20+ colleges and 2000+ students participate from all over Mumbai.Other departments also organises inter- collegiate cultural festivals like BMS has VIHAAN, BMM has MEGAHERTZ, etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees structure for BMS for first year it was 18k , for second year it was 19k , for third year it is 23k. This year onwards college has hiked fees for self finance courses like BMS, BMM, BAF, BFM.
Fees and Financial Aid
As per my knowledge, scholarships for the backward class students are available and scholarships for girls are available in our college. The same can be made available to the students by providing proper documents.
Alumni/Alumna
We use to interact with our Seniors not only for college work but we had a special bond between us. We all were a part of BMS family. Even still a lot of our seniors are in contact with us. Recently somaiya had organised Alumni reunion from all the institutes of somaiya where we got chance to interact Wid alumini.
Exam Structure
BMS has six semister exam pattern which has six internal exams and six external exams. Three semisters are conducted in the months of october and other three in the month of march. Six semister pattern gives plenty of time to study the topic in effective manner and covers all aspects, besides we have presentations, assignments, group discussions, etc conducted in our college which keeps us busy.
Faculty
All the faculties have a specialization in their fields and they guide us for practical knowledge, group discussions, field work, etc. We are assigned to make presentations on various topics which require team work, field work, getting interviews of various business tycoons.
