Remarks

Overall it’s good. I would recommend this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum even though a bit hectic, it’s still one of the best. But it’s more of studio knowledge, and not much site knowledge. In the first and second semester only 2 site visits were provided, being a very bad factor because it does not allow students to gain more knowledge. The college has cancelled industrial visits which means none of the students get any exposure.

Placement Experience

1.5

There is NO campus recruitment/ placements provided by the college, nor is there any internships provided. They ask the students to refer with the seniors for help. The college doesn’t provide any sort guidance for placement and internship.

College Events

1.5

There is only one event in this college and it is very plain and simple. There is nothing special in the events. It is not good. The students are stuck inside the college with no proper arrangements. Everyone stuck in one class made to do random things. No food stalls, no games, even participation is not open.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is expensive. For an interior design course they make the students pay ? 1,80,000/-. There are no additional fees. The payment is only allowed thourough bank. They do not provide the students with needed supplies even after taking that much fees. The students had to buy stationeries worth ?10,000/- which was not informed earlier. No, the college does not provide transparency in the fee breakdown.

Fees and Financial Aid

There were scholarships but The criteria was so specific and could not be availed by most students. It seemed unfair for the students who scored good marks.

Campus Life

2

It is bad. Everything is a big zero.Gender ratios, Student/Dorm Parties, workshops, cultural societies or Student diversity and tolerance with regards to gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics and economic status ( Be detailed in your response to meet quality standards it’s all normal.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

Yes I have opted for hostel. The hostel rooms are miserable. No hygiene. There are no PGs available. In a class of 35 students, there were only 3-4 AC rooms available. And very few students got ac rooms. And there are no single rooms available.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are helpful. experience with the college seniors and interaction With the alumni which was pretty good. There were seminars offered.

Admission

The reason I opted this course was because it is something I really would like to do, I think I’m the interior of any building matters a lot because it brings out the ambience of the place. There were two level for admission. One being the Design aptitude test and second being the design studio test. There were over 120 students in the second test of which only 25 got chosen thourough the test. Rest 10 were taken in thourough NRI quota and some management quota.

Faculty

4

The lecturers are good but they are just designers and architects without a teaching degree. But their lectures are good. They do have little industrial experience. The teachers could be having at least a BEd degree which will make it easier for them to teach the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum here feels more practical and idea driven rather than just theory based which was one of the main reasons I chose this course it focuses on design thinking creativity and real execution instead of only textbook learning One of the strongest parts is how it slowly builds your understanding from basics to advanced concepts through projects assignments and presentations this helps in preparing for real world work because you are constantly creating and improving your portfolio rather than just studying for exams The curriculum does prepare you for industry to a good extent especially in terms of creative thinking software usage and project handling but it can improve by including more updated trends real time industry briefs and collaboration with professionals which will make it even more relevant Teaching methods are mostly interactive and practical but sometimes they can include more workshops guest sessions and exposure to current market tools to enhance learning experience Exams are conducted with two internal assessments of around 40 marks each followed by a final semester exam of 70 marks theory and 30 marks practical the difficulty level is moderate if you attend classes and complete your work regularly it is manageable Overall the curriculum is strong in building creative foundation and practical skills but with a few updates and more industry exposure it can become even more effective for future careers

Course Curriculum Overview:

We have really packed timings. We also have a lot of chances. Like an exchange program, internships and many chances to act or work in actual projects. I really hope they could teach us animation in the course and it would really help if the clubs are active. For every exam we have to come up with something new totally out of the box. sometimes we also have to work overtime.

Students become eligible for placements after their graduation project in the 8th semester which is the 4th year. A good number of companies around 8-10 come for the campus placements. The minimum package starts from 6 lakhs and can go up to 20 lakhs per annum. Almost 70% of the students get an on campus placement. Some get an off campus placement as well. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters in my field.
