College curriculam

College is doing well in respect of academics and extra curriculum.

I found the course structure to be very relevant. Apart from Accountancy, we also gained knowledge about tax, audit, law, statistics, maths. Yes to some extend the curriculam groomed us to provide industry specific knowledge in order to secure on campus placements. Yes, our college organised industrial visits for campus placement. I remember TCS and Pwc Sdc came for recruitment.

Placement procedure is quite well organised. I remember in the year 2017 two renowned companies came to our college. One was TCS and the other was Pwc Sdc. Yes I even attended this placement programme. The steps were quite interesting. First the representative of the companies came and introduced their company, their prospects and everything. Then they started with the selection. They conducted written exm. The ones who qualified the exm went for second round which was hour round followed my group discussion and final managerial round. Approx 40% students every year get placement. Yes, I must say our college has played an important role for grooming us for the interviews.

College celebrates all the festivals like saraswati puja, holi, etc. Apart from that, it also organise college feast. The college feast usually happens once a year during winter time. We have on stage events and off stage events. Off stage events take place inside college campus. Onstage events are held in Nazrul Mancha. Great gathering is held on the day of feast. Students enjoy a lot.

The fee structure is very reasonable I must say. One could easily afford it. Being a govt aided college, it doesn't charge much fee for the course. And the college takes the whole year fee at the beginning of the year. And then beforvthe exam we are suppose to pay for registration. Thats all

Yes college offers scholarship opportunities to students. The eligibility was 60% marks in previous qualification. We were suppose to fill the form online and submit the same.

Campus life was good and appreciated by all. College organised fest for their students. It also takes part in inter college competitions. There was no sexual orientation or religious based discrimination or political disbalance in our college. It used to take care of its students in all respect.

No. I used to stay at my place while I was pursuing graduation. So I didn't opt for hostel. I remember the college was about 10 km distance from my place so had to take a bus to go to college in the morning.

Seniors are very coperative and helpful. They help us in all possible ways. Whether it is in terms of studies or any college related issue. They are always ready to help.

I was shared the future aspects of pursuing B.com. I was also informed about the faculties and their teaching process. Apart from that, elders of my family had also completed their Graduation from this college. So all this factors made me choose Sivanath Sastri College to pursue my Graduation. The steps which I followed to take admission was very simple. I first filled online form which was given in the college site and then after a month merit list was published. Luckily got my name in the very first list and got admission in the college the very next day.

The number of lectures provided by the faculty was enough for the students to gain knowledge about the course. I remember there were senior faculties who were CA, CMA and was experienced ones. And I also remember there were faculties in my college who all recently passed their masters and cleared their NET Examination and joined our college as young professors. I must say irrespective of the age gap and experience, all the faculties of our college deliver lectures which was actually remarkable. No, we were not provided wid any industry experience or certificates.
