The course curriculum in the college was relevant. It covered a wide range of subjects in the Psychology discipline. The method of teaching included lectures, presentation and many class activities. The students were also made to participate in various seminars, workshops, quizzes and programs which gave us a good exposure to the practical aspect of our discipline.

The college provides a lot of opportunities for placement. College had conducted some 5-6 on campus placement drives for different disciplines. However there were no placement drives for the psychology students. Some of the seminars conducted by the department gave us the opportunity to interact with many of the delegates who were established in their field.

Annual functions and Annual sports meet. Other events included small cultural fests which included different activities( Dance, Quiz, Singing, Painting, Ramp walk, Fashion shows, Dating games) Other events included various inter college tournaments and BJB Cricket league.

The college being a state college has a lowered fees structure. The total fees for the whole course paid by me would be around 7000 that is 2000 per year. The fees can paid thourough different methods including Cash, challan and net banking. The college provides transparency regarding the fee breakdown.

Yes the college is registered under many scholarship schemes. These scholarships were merit based. Students needed to apply online for different schemes and then submit the forms in college office. The list would be then forwarded by the college officials which would be further renewed every year based on the scored marks every semester.

The campus life is quite happening. A lot of activities happen thouroughout the year. Students participate in different contests and tournaments. The college administration also celebrates many festivals and students take part in this with great joy. Extracurricular activities are conducted actively.

The college provides hostels according to the merit list. There are 2 girls hostels and 2 boys hostels. One of the hostel is for students from students for 11-12th standards. These hostels are within college premises.

The alumni network is not well established and neither are there any kind of alumnus meet. However senior students do stay in touch with the teachers and juniors.

I had chosen Psychology for my Honours subject. I had an interest in studying behavioural science. I chose this college because of my friends who told me that this is one of the best college with great faculty for the subject. I applied thourough a common application form by Odisha higher education department. This common application needs to be filled usually during the month of June. All the details regarding me and my school along with my marks are to be filled in this. Then we need to choose the order of preference of different colleges that one needs to apply to. One can apply to many colleges thourough this single form. After completing it, one needs to get it verified at any college office and wait for the merit list.

The faculty was good. The lecturers were quite experienced and showed great dedication towards the students. There were 4-5 teachers in our discipline. Most of them having completed their Ph.Ds. They were experienced and had completed more than 8-9 years of teaching in their career.
